My experience at Crown Nails was an absolute disaster – honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had. I spent over 2.5 hours there and the result is shocking. My nails look like they were done by a complete beginner. I am extremely unhappy.

On top of that, they charged me more than what was listed on their price list, which is completely unfair and unprofessional. Then they tried to charge me an extra £6, and they literally did not want to let me leave until I paid. That felt like pressure and is totally unacceptable.

The atmosphere in the salon was awful – it was cold, uncomfortable, and the staff were rude and unhelpful. Going to a nail salon should be a relaxing experience, but this was the exact opposite.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend this salon. Save your money, your time, and your nerves – avoid this place. 👎👎👎👎

I’ve been a loyal customer of 10 years to Crown Nails - even travelling when I moved over an hour away.

The past 5 times I’ve visited I’ve come out distraught and disappointed.
2 of said times I’d asked for almond shaped, French acrylics - both of which I’ve come out with uneven tips, the shape of every nail is different and off, cuticles cut to bleeding, and a rushed job. When I’ve tried to explain previously there is always a language barrier.
On the other occasions I’ve had the paint peel off within days of visiting - to go back and be told they hadn’t cured it properly.

I’ve now been elsewhere and they were disgusted with the nails Crown Nails had done and astonished by the prices they’re charging for the job they’re doing.

It’s so sad to have to write this after being a loyal customer for so long - but even after showing them the evidence of the shocking job their staff had done I was refused a refund.

Avoid this place at all costs

Update after 3 weeks I'm a little bit disappointed these nails haven't really lasted the longest the middle nail came off and some of the nail polish has came off on the thumb and my thumb nail also came off other than that they look nice just not the strongest

Today I was overcharged for nails and the nail technician like abandoned her job and someone else had to take over. I have injured and fingers having bled every time they done a service. This has been completely shit service and I won't be returning. They didn't even remove the polish off properly.

First of all, I booked an appointment to avoid long waiting times. Why offer the booking system if you then still wait the same amount of time like you were a “walk in”. I waited 45 minutes, to then be sat down and not even a sorry was said. Then the overall service for the price charged was shocking. I had the most basic, plain design due to not having time having waited the 45 minutes to be sat down and which charged a lot for. Do not believe their online booking prices or prices they have in the salon and they make it up and charge what they want at the end when paying.

I had a great experience today with Nelly who sorted my BIIB nails even though they were done elsewhere. Great attention to details and she was very kind not to overcharge me even when I had infills and some were fully out. Happy with the outcome and colour :)
