In LOVE with my nails. I came on a Friday around lunchtime and the shop was nice and quiet. I also had a broken nail - right down to the nub! Which they kindly fixed for me to match my natural nail length.

Today was my first time here but you bet I picked up a loyalty card. My nail tech (I think her name is Emma but I’m sorry if that’s wrong!) was so talented and even though the design was quite tough so executed it so perfectly. I’m so impressed with how they look, exactly what I wanted! And really reasonably priced too I thought. The atmosphere was quiet and chill which is quite nice for me personally and she got the full set done in just over 90mins which for what I got, I thought was great! Would really recommend <3

Sadly, I did not have a great experience. I paid £50 for gel french tips on my natural nails plus an extension on 1 nail as it had broken. The nails looked nice from an distance but questionable at the sides - the french tip looked very sloppy at the sides with mistakes, unevenness and brush marks. The colour (black) was patchy and parts of it were see-through, and there was black gel paint left on my fingers around a couple of the nails. One of the nails chipped and lifted on the same day I had the manicure—just a few hours after—which I’m really sad about given the price I paid. :(

When I arrived, the manicurist didn’t say hello or greet me, she just walked towards me slowly with a straight face, scrolled through the computer and said my name. It wasn’t busy and there was only one other client who was being treated by someone else. As someone who has worked many customer service jobs and understands we all have off-days, I would normally never complain about someone’s demeanour, but I have to say it was quite poor and created an awkward vibe for the rest of the appointment. Surely saying hello is the bare minimum?

Also worth mentioning - I don’t care too much about germs but I don’t understand the point of wearing gloves if she was going to keep touching and using her phone during the appointment. The equipment also didn’t seem very clean and the file she used on my nails was covered in someone else’s nail dust.

£50 for this experience and a gel manicure that chips and lifts on the same day unfortunately wasn’t worth it. I came here because of the amazing reviews but sadly I must have come on a bad day. I just hope no more nails chip so soon. 😔💔
