I went to TRU to get my nails done for the first time. I was worried that I'd have a horrible time (I'm very anxious around new situations and really sensitive sensory wise) but Skye was really nice and put my mind at ease from minute 1. They explained the whole process and what was about to happen and that helped a lot.
Here is a pic of the nails on day 1 and on day 10 for reference, they're holding up really well.
I booked gel nails with level 1 art.
All the prep work (removing cuticles for example) was done manually without electric tools.
The studio was quiet (only the two of us there), clean and comfortable and I was offered a drink as well which was nice, as you'll be there for a while depending on what you're getting done.
The studio has a bathroom and from an accessibility perspective, they're ND and LGBTQ+ friendly with gender neutral toilet, there's a small step outside and there aren't any steps inside.

You know what, the people who work here make it so special, big fat recommend.
I am 39.5 weeks pregnant, and Min made my pedicure so chill and comfortable. And she somehow made me ugly feet look so much more beautiful.
I will be back again! And can't wait to get my manicures here too! Thanks so much babes 🔆

Fabulous! My weird "friend" Tristan recommended me here and I must say my nails have never looked better. Spooky I had a premonition that this would be the case and I am ALWAYS right despite my sceptics or should I say septics haha! I predict I will be back for more fabulousness darling! x

First time getting my nails done and couldn't have felt I was in better hands!
Lovely staff from the moment I walked in. With my autism I can struggle in social interactions as I'm terrible at small talk, but it didn't feel uncomfortable or awkward one bit. Will absolutely be coming back, and I couldn't recommend them enough!

Highly recommend Tru Nail Art. Sad that Clarissa’s leaving, but all the nail techs there are brilliant. Super friendly, welcoming, and inclusive. I loved the whole process of picking out the art and colours with them. I don’t live in Brighton — but I liked them so much I’ll definitely book in again next time I’m back!
