Do yourself a favour and avoid this place if you want beautiful natural nails

*Tip: find an Eastern European lady to do your nails if you want you aim for a natural, clean aesthetic

Positives: cute salon, plenty of availability, could do if your aesthetic is long thick acrylic nails I guess (that will damage your nails so much though)

Negatives: ugh, where do I even start? I won’t spend too much time on this, but just a few things: Poor communication with the client, definitely overpriced for the quality, staff cannot speak English so will struggle to understand what you want and won’t really care to, nails done in a hurry with tools not sterilised & used on multiple customers at the same time, BIAB and acrylics is the same thing for them so might as well book the cheaper one, thick nails with weird shape that don’t compliment your finger shape at all, and cash only for some reason.
Finally, a visual representation :))) I am attaching pictures of what I wanted vs what I got (I messaged their Instagram account and got advice about what service to book and I was told to show the staff the picture of what I wanted, which I did, but… this is what I got :)))) )

The team is incredibly talented, friendly, and professional, and the quality of their nail art is truly unmatched. Easily the best (and my most favourite) set of acrylics I’ve ever gotten done!! I brought a Pinterest photo of the design I wanted and Jackie did a wonderful job of recreating it exactly!!! I really appreciate that he genuinely took the time to analyse my picture and showed incredible patience with the details from start to finish, especially where most other technicians would have rushed towards the end of the design. I will definitely be back and would 100% recommend to anyone looking to get their nails done! Thank you so much Jackie and the rest of the Vivian team!

I went here yesterday with my mother to get my nails done, the service was very quick and they did an excellent job! They followed the design I offered perfectly and I'm amazed by the results, I am glad I went!

However, there are a few things I'd like to note for anyone who may consider coming here for their nails.

The employees do struggle with English which can make communication difficult, however it didn't impede on my experience as we were still able to understand each other. They're plenty friendly! Just come in knowing what you want and they can do it for you. They were very polite in telling me that the silver wouldn't show well with my design, so I chose white which was my other option and it turned out lovely!

They do cut cuticles which is not ideal for many people. I've never had my nails done before so I was willing to try it out, but sadly my cuticles have been bleeding a little since a few hours after my nails were done. No biggie, I've been washing them regularly and putting on some antiseptic cream, but I would still recommend the team pivots towards pushing cuticles as opposed to cutting them. It can definitely lead to infections hence why I'm taking extra care of them.

I also worry the tools they used are not cleaned in between customers, which is a big concern. This along with the cuticle cutting is what has brought my review down to three stars.

The prices are worth what you get, though. My nails were £50 for BIAB, extensions and two colours for a nail design, which is only £5 more than the bare minimum I expected, so while my mom was paying for it as a birthday present, I'd be happy to pay it again in future since they did such a good job.

Overall, don't take this as a negative review - I love my nails and I'm so glad I went. I would gladly give 4-5 stars if the cuticle cutting became an option rather than the default, if tools were more apparently cleaned and if communication was improved. I don't expect the employees to magically improve at English, hence why this is only a minor concern, but it would be very helpful for first-timers like me!
