I got my nails done here 3 times over a 3 month period. The first couple times I was quite happy. The third time when the 2nd set was removed with only an Efile (no soaking), I noticed just how brittle and thin my nails had become, there were pink spots underneath the nail bed suggesting lifting, I asked the technician if it was safe to have another set applied and he assured me yes and that the gel polish would stabilise my nail plate.
When the 3rd set was applied, after leaving Rutherglen and out in natural light, I noticed that there were bubble like areas on some of the nails that were uncured due to the rushed service. After 3 days my nails began splitting, my cuticles were so inflamed, itchy. I had the set professionally soaked off by an award winning nail tech closer to home and I was absolutely devastated at the state of my nails underneath. I actually ended up having to see my practice nurse and she said this is a common occurrence with certain nail bars due to chemicals contained in the gel polishes they use such as HEMA etc. Both her and the amazing nail tech who removed the set have also said the majority of the damage has been done due to improper removal and technique. I get married in 3 months and it’s cost me a small fortune in nail treatments and services etc just so I can rebuild my nail plate enough to have my bridal set applied. The pain and discomfort this has caused has been awful. It’s been 6 plus weeks and they’re still pretty bad. I see a few of the other reviews on here and socials have stated the same thing. Very lovely people but perhaps could do with some retraining and better hygiene practices. Lesson learned!

The hairstylist Sophia is fantastic! She is really interactive and has a good eye for hair and beauty. You can put your trust in her with your head, I’ll definitely be back. Nail artists are lovely and very skilled as well. Would recommend.

Best nail salon in Glasgow!!! Best nails ever. Staff are so kind and caring. Been going here for years and they never fail to do an amazing job. Nails are always perfect and I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!! Thank you everyone at hair magic for being the best 🤍🤍🤍
