Very disappointing experience. This was my first visit, and unfortunately it will be my last.

The quality of the service was extremely poor. My gel nails cracked and peeled within two days, and the product was applied incorrectly around my cuticles. My toenails were also not done properly, with parts of the gel missing and an overall unprofessional finish.

The hygiene standards were also concerning. The salon appeared dirty, with dust on every table and equipment that did not look clean.

Overall, this service was far below an acceptable standard, especially for the £52 charged. I would not recommend this place and suggest serious improvements in both hygiene and staff training.

Booked in for a pedicure with Laura and within 5 minutes was seated and got chatting away very easy to talk to and the most perfect pedicure and French tips I’ve ever had, the coffee machine was also a bonus would highly recommend for anyone wanting a pamper

I'd seen good reviews for Get The Gloss but was very let down when I went, and left with messy, badly done nails and bleeding cuticles.

The nail tech nipped live tissue on my cuticles, making me bleed on multiple fingers. They're still sore and sensitive a full week later. Unfortunately I'm very new to getting my nails done so didn't realise this wasn't normal until I left and spoke to friends and another nail tech.

They were also filed very poorly. The edges were very uneven, rough, jagged and messy, and she dug deep into my sidewalls on multiple nails. The shape is uneven and wonky. I was left with gel polish on the skin around my nails and a lump of cured gel under a nail, which was very uncomfortable.

I'd heard good things about Get The Gloss, but my nails are a mess after going, and the customer service since has been very poor. I tried phoning but it rang out, and when I emailed to explain the situation and ask for a refund, the owner was quite dismissive and asked me to arrange a time with him to come back in. I never received a reply to my emails back to this and still want a refund for the poor service and messy, sore nails.

I'll not be returning to Get The Gloss and will never recommend it to anyone based on my experience.

I recently had ombré nail extensions done at Get the Gloss for a wedding, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result.

As someone who climbs regularly, my nails and the surrounding skin are usually in a pretty rough state, so I wasn’t expecting miracles. But Grace completely transformed them. She took the time to get everything looking exactly how I wanted, and the finish was by far the best my nails have ever looked.

Not only is she incredibly skilled, but she’s also genuinely lovely, which made the whole experience really enjoyable and relaxed.

It’s now almost two weeks later, and they still look as perfect as the day they were done – no chips, no lifting, nothing. Proper quality work.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Grace to anyone – especially if you think your nails are beyond saving like I did!

My appointment was rescheduled on the morning of the booking without my consent – to a different time and a different nail tech I hadn’t selected. I work full-time and couldn’t attend the new time. I tried calling to cancel but couldn’t get through. Despite this, £35 was taken from my card and all my future appointments were cancelled.

I followed up via email and received a dismissive response from Mario who then subsequently failed to reply to my other emails. Changing appointments without contacting clients and then charging them for it is unacceptable customer service.

Was supposed to have an appointment but had to reschedule due to an emergency doctors appointment clashing with the time I called the salon 11 times before my appointment to try to let them know and twice afterwards. No answer at all. I get there is a no show or late cancellation fee but to charge that when you don’t bother answering the phone to clients seems a little off to me

Since leaving my review and having such a rude response from the “owner” I have tried to call yet again as I was sent an invoice to my email address stating there would be a £24 charge. Not only is the attitude from the owner shocking but to post that when I have received an email stating I would be charged is confusing.
Seems such a shame as the girls working in the salon have fantastic reviews which is why I wanted to book in the first place but the owner’s reputation of being rude, unhelpful and combative to criticism seems correct.

I have had my nails done by Abbie multiple times and honestly cannot fault the service provided, the sheer talent, skill set and attention to detail she has is second to none. She is always friendly and welcoming and takes into consideration any issues I have. I recommend Abbie to everyone & will continue to do so.

Terrible, terrible, terrible, avoid at all costs

Have done my nails plenty of times in other places and I never had such a bad experience. Nails were chipped within a few hours and then was no apology from management.
Keep your money but you will never see me again for sure.
