My wife asked me to leave a review for Lucy on her behalf as I have been taking her here for months and she loves it. Excellent nails, and always friendly and personal service from Lucy. She never feels rushed, and her nails are perfect every time. Easy to book in and great selection of colours and designs to choose from. Good location in the centre of Wells by St Cuthberts church. I visited to have gels removed from toes and fingers. I was rushed through in under 15 minutes and got home to find most of the nails still have gel covering on them. The nails weren’t evenly filed. They’ve all been left looking dry and rough. They weren’t wrapped in cotton wool and tin foil, instead the gels were taken off by an electric drill like tool that was hot and felt like it was burning through to my nail. Quite uncomfortable and painful at times, as it burnt through to my nail underneath. Also there was no cleaning down of the work station between the previous client and myself and it wasn’t clean. Wouldn’t recommend and certainly wouldn’t go back. This is the first non-5 star rating I’ve written. Update: I’ve heard from two professional Beauticians that this is not the correct way to remove gel nails and that this should only be used in the removal of Acrylic nails. Which is why my nails are left in the terrible state they are. Apparently it is done to hurry clients through rather than doing it correctly which takes 30-45 minutes. Shocking. 24 hours on and some of the nail beds are still red and sore from being burnt. The others all look dry, rough and weak. If I could leave a minus 5 star rating I would.
