I had my hair colored and extensions done by Josh, and I’ve never been happier with my hair!
The atmosphere in the salon was amazing as well. Josh and the rest of the staff were all so welcoming and easy to talk to — both when discussing my wishes for the appointment and during the lovely chitchat throughout.
A salon I can definitely recommend!

Had a cut and blow dry by Josh today. After initially being stressed because I couldn’t find the place, I was given directions to get there. Was worried because I didn’t want to be late for my appointment. The staff are lovely. Josh cut my hair and gave excellent reasons for why he was styling it. I am thrilled with the result. Love the curls and it feels so fresh and healthy. Thank you so much.

My review for this stellar salon & its team is long overdue. At House of Beaux, I found the atmosphere to be very warm & welcoming, with appreciation & compassion for people from all walks of life & the proud inclusivity + mindfulness of the neurodiversity spectrum.
Before visiting H.o.B, I felt that even a marginally comfortable haircut experience wasn’t destined for me. One of the reasons being my curly hair on the 3A-3B ish scale; I hadn't come across a hairdresser that had any real expertise with cutting natural curls, despite their claims. The other struggles I can experience are because of sensory hypersensitivity, feeling really overwhelmed from the general activity & environment in hairdressing salon areas (also exacerbated by having to take off my glasses).

When I discovered H.o.B, I hadn’t had a haircut in ~1.5 years & my hair was really coarse & dry, & my curls had pretty much lost their shape. I chose to give H.o.B a shot because of the amazing customer reviews online, & also due to their offer of a free hair consultation appointment (15-20min) which I thought was very considerate. I made a booking to see Jamie for the free hair consultation. Along with the desperately needed haircut, I was considering getting a balayage which would’ve been the 1st lifting treatment for my hair (H.o.B had an offer then for first-time customers of a discount on a haircut + balayage appointment). I was immensely anxious when I arrived, & Jamie could sense this. She made a genuine effort to make me as comfortable as possible by taking me over to a quieter area of the salon to discuss what I'd like to have done. She could tell I was struggling with decision-making, & advised me to not worry about the balayage yet & to just consider coming in for a haircut to give my curls some much needed TLC. I was more than welcome to have the patch test done during the consultation. She reassured me that once I’d decided if I still wanted to go ahead with a balayage of my desired colour, to go ahead & book in another appointment with her, informing me that she would be happy to apply the initial offer’s discount (instructing me to remind her once I’d decided to go ahead with the balayage - in case it slipped her mind).
For the 1st appointment, she led me to seating in the quieter section without any fuss. With just a brief initial encounter, I felt calmer with trust in Jamie to know how to bring my hair back to life - which she accomplished with ease. I did follow through with the balayage appointment, for which Jamie was super excited as well as the other staff & the vibe was pleasantly infectious (she mentioned that it was her 1st chance to use that particular colour). Another thing that I truly appreciate & respect about Jamie was how invested she was, & her eager willingness to give advice in the form of helpful suggestions from her insightful experience, knowledge & vision - especially when I'd kind of abandoned hope with how damaged & lifeless my hair was before visiting H.o.B.
Needless to say, for both appointments the customer service could not be faulted. Starting with friendly greetings, followed by being seated & immediately offered refreshments including various coffees, tea or cold drinks very generously. From the treatment I received & the conversations we had as well as observing the rest of the team with various customers, the devotion & genuine care that was dedicated to all of the customers was crystal clear. & of course, their skillset showed excellence, with the diversity of their salon services. All members of the H.o.B crew truly believe in doing everything they can to value their customers immensely; making sure they are heard & as comfortable as can be before & during appointments, departing with genuine smiles on their faces.

P.S. For those with curls/hair prone to tough tangles: when my hair was combed out/shampooed & conditioned, it was done with care and I didn't feel a single painful stroke or pull. 🙏🏽

After reading the reviews, I had to book in to experience this wonderful salon for myself. After trying several in the area house of beaux feels like home, Jamie is an incredibly friendly, talented and welcoming hairdresser who makes you feel at home and at ease within seconds. I was welcomed with a nice drink and was swiftly sat down and had a fabulous cut. I have found my salon and am looking forward to coming back for my next cut - thank you so much Jamie 💜

I got my hair done by Rou, she was absolutely lovely! She listens to what you want doing and will advise you on what would suit you if you have any concerns. I got my hair dyed and cut from her and she absolutely smashed it! Couldn’t recommend Rou anymore to anyone she’s a bubble of joy and passionate about everyones hair and making you feel like the best version of yourself :)

Absolutely amazing team, especially Jamie the Director and Josh, they are super friendly, welcoming and honest. Jamie went above and beyond, fitting both myself and my daughter in at very last minute with the attitude of “we’ll make it work.”

The colour blending and balayage were fantastic — honestly the best I’ve had, even after having my hair coloured all over the world. Will visit when back next. I appreciated their effort and the atmosphere.
Highly recommend!
