Being totally honest here the service, customer care, and hygiene of this salon experience was quite appalling … never experienced anything quite like it
I’ve recently had lashes applied by Elle which took 2 hours. I can totally concur with another clients review as to how unprofessional she was shouting over my head also to her colleague in another room, her phone persistently pinging next to my head. Elle excused herself to go to the bathroom, was away a while …I heard toilet flush and door open immediately leaving me wondering had her hands been washed ?
She continued applying my lashes no gloves worn during the treatment, long nails … surely hygiene is absolutely paramount when touching customers eyes ?
I had a patch test done prior to having the lashes applied without any reaction. 2 days after having lashes applied I ended up at walk in centre at Alnwick Infirmary with an acute severe reaction, infection of both eyes, lids red and swollen. It may well be the case I could be allergic to the glue despite the patch test but the lack of hygiene would not have helped ! I asked to use the bathroom before leaving the salon to find there was no soap or hand towels to dry my hands after … which is utterly disgusting It makes me sick to the stomach knowing Elle used the toilet during my treatment and then no thorough hand washing I am a week later having to use medication given to me by my GP
Despite the annoying £50 cost for this experience I’m here still suffering the consequences of poor hygiene in a beauty salon …. Never again !!
