Went for a walk in appointment at American Nails in Selby and unfortunately had a very poor experience.

I waited over an hour before being seen, which was frustrating enough, but the actual infill only took around 50 minutes and I was then charged £50, far more than I’ve ever paid for an infill elsewhere.

The quality of the nails was disappointing. There was very little cuticle prep, the sides of the nails look poorly finished, and in some areas the acrylic is already not covering the nail properly. Overall they look rushed and badly prepared.

The polish application was also messy and I left with green nail polish on my skin and around my nails.

For the price charged, I expected a much higher standard of service and finish. Really disappointed and won’t be returning.

Had a set of acrylics + gel polish with nail art done and everything was absolutely wonderful. The service provided by the other staff were great as well. Very happy with my nails today and will definitely be coming back!

Polite and professional and very good prices. My nails always last ages. I had a lovely young man paint my toes today and he was very helpful. Definitely recommend- and they have a loyalty card too!

Went in with long natural nails with builder gel… came out with short stubbles! They prized the builder gel off with acrylic tip and took my nail with it instead of filing it off. Would NEVER go back and would NOT recommend if you have your own nails!

Always leave with beautiful nails, despite how battered my own get at work. the staff are so friendly and helpful. Always a great experience and chan did a wonderful job! Would never go anywhere else, love them

I went in this morning with no appointment made for a full set of nails + toes and was seen within 10 minutes☺️ I’m so happy with both they look great and lovely, friendly service from everyone, definitely will be back for my infill x

Great service as always. They always do the exact design every time. The only downside is that it's impossible to work out the prices 😀
