I've been trying to grow my hair longer & hadn't had it cut for over a year but it got to a point where I was really worried that if I went to get it trimmed, I'd end up with a pixie cut!! (Also, I was a little ashamed of the state of my split ends & how long I had left it...!) Booking in with Steve was the best decision I've made this year. He was BRILLIANT. Such a warm way & a great sense of humour. He wasn't judgey at all, took time & care to interpret what I wanted & checked in throughout that I was happy with what he was doing, as well as offering suggestions without pushing them on me. My hair feels really healthy & shiny again & no split ends. The length & weight is still there. Thank you Steve & the Cutting Edge team! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Horrible haircut, if you don't know how to do men's hair without doing a fade just say so. My man asked for a medium hair cut with no fades and this woman just pulls out a razor even tho he clearly told her that's not how hairdressers usually do his hair and she proceeded to make his hair super choppy in the back not even blending the sides, leaving him with barely anything there. If you don't know what you're doing just warn the person first. Not worth anything.

I went to another hairdressers in rushden for a consultation.
They cut my hair preformed a strand test and told me they couldn’t do what I wanted without first adding extra appointments and treatments.
Context: brassy old blonde with mega roots.
I’ve been a problem for hairdressers in the past being someone who uses box dye but I knew I hadn’t touched my hair for a year and didn’t feel right with their suggestions.

Time for the actual review: so I popped in to Cutting edge, explained what I wanted, did a patch test straight away and Chris calmly told me it’s completely achievable and booked me in with Kerry.

Day of the appointment, Kerry made me feel comfortable, discussed how to achieve the look I wanted and made suggestions.
Kept me topped up with tea, brought me into salon convos and made me feel welcome.
Kerry didn’t try to add additional cost and when it came to the cut we discussed what was best for hair goals at that time.
Kerry was brilliant, professional and worked magic achieving a colour I was really pleased with and gave me the reassurance of I wasn’t happy to come back and make some tweaks.

Would happily return and continue my hair journey with this team.
Costing was reasonable and if anything cheaper than what I use to pay.

Highly recommend this place and these people 👍😊

I visited Cutting Edge on Friday I hadn’t ever been before but can honestly say I will be returning! The welcome was warm and the lady who did my hair (sorry I can’t remember her name) was so lovely and really changed the look! There is so much more dimension and listened to how I wanted it! I will be retuning 🩷 thank you 🙏

I had hair naturally auburn for many years followed by the bottle for many more years. At the advanced age of 81 years I decided with fear and trepidation to have it highlighted aided and abetted by my daughter who lives in Ireland and who paid for it for my Christmas present. I am absolutely delighted with it, they have done a splendid job, and are lovely interesting hairdressers. Definitely recommend and a big thank you. I rarely leave reviews but this is an awesome Hairdresser's, im always nervous with hairdressers dentists etc but I was at ease from the first minute here, my preference was listened too and I actually left happy with my hair, which often hasnt been the case in the past as you cant really say thats bad put it back, great place friendly staff.

Aprille did my hair for me back in December, that was my first time going to cutting edge and my experience was so great. I came back today so Aprille could touch up my balayage and I was welcomed and the atmosphere was so friendly we all had a laugh and we’re talking for hours, I could not recommend this salon enough! My hair turned out beautifuly!!
