If I could give this business 0 stars, I would — unfortunately that isn’t an option.

What a poorly run business with disappointing customer service and extremely limited nail design options. The previous owners clearly built a strong reputation, but unfortunately the new occupants are damaging it.

Before my appointment, I called to explain that I’d had an unfortunate issue where the card machine at Asda was out of service, and the Tesco ATM had swallowed my bank card. As this salon is cash only, I wanted to check whether a bank transfer would be acceptable. The person I spoke to already sounded irritated and reluctantly agreed “just this once,” despite me having travelled specifically for the appointment and booking the day before.

When I arrived, I clarified again that bank transfer was okay because I didn’t want any confusion after the treatment. Communication immediately felt awkward and unfriendly.

I asked for a simple swirl design and was told they “don’t do that,” which genuinely surprised me as it’s a very basic request at most nail salons. When I questioned this, I was bluntly told to “go somewhere else that does designs.” I then suggested a French pink tip but was told no because of the previous ombré on my nails.

Everything I suggested seemed to be met with negativity or an argument. I also asked about stickers or simple nail art and was told they don’t offer that either, which I found bizarre for a nail salon.

The atmosphere became increasingly uncomfortable. At one point, while my nails were drying, I briefly adjusted my ring because it had twisted. I hadn’t fully emerged my hand under the lamp and readjusted my ring, yet I was spoken to sharply and mocked with exaggerated gestures.

I explained that I’d come in hoping to feel better and instead was leaving feeling worse. Rather than improving the situation, the attitude continued.

I had also booked a gel infill on my toes, but thankfully this was never mentioned because after this experience I had no interest in staying any longer.

The attitude throughout was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. With customer service like this and such limited design options, I can’t imagine many clients returning.

Save your time and money — I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

I was a regular customer here for 6 years, but since the new owners took over, the service has declined significantly.

I recently booked a pedicure and mistakenly thought my appointment was at 16:40 instead of 16:20. As soon as I arrived, I acknowledged the error and understood that they might not be able to fit me in. However, instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff member became rude and raised her voice, saying, “It’s your fault, why didn’t you come at the agreed time?”

When I tried to calmly explain it was a genuine mistake, she continued speaking loudly and said, “I can’t do it for you,” in front of other customers. I found this behaviour unnecessary and unprofessional. As someone who has been a loyal customer, I expected a more respectful approach.

In the past, staff would try to offer alternative times or solutions, but no such effort was made. There appeared to be availability, yet no options were suggested.

Unfortunately, this experience has led me to stop coming here. Customer service and basic courtesy seem to have declined, which is disappointing.

Ever since they’ve been taken over by new people - this place is awful. The woman barely knows how to most nail designs or ideas, she’s rude and regardless if you’re booked in or not she will claim never to have enough time give you want you want.

The man barely listens and they both just act like you’re barely there while talking about you.

I come here for my nails every month for the past year. They are amazing every time. Staff are always friendly and have conversations, I show them a photo of what I want and they do it perfectly! Lovely place, highly recommend.

What a shame…. previous owners were so professional and offered excellent nail service & was always super busy! Today i’ve come away with two wonky nails and owner called ME rude when I questioned the additional £5 charge. This was for removing acrylics. I simply said I hadn’t realised and had not seen this when I booked. She then requested additional payment (into her personal bank account!. I remember why i stopped going there… last time kept me waiting for an hour despite having booked. no apology no discount!!They are cash only!!!! hmm

I initially wrote a good review because the mistakes made were "corrected" however I've not had my nails done before and wasn't aware what was good and bad.
First of all a man did my nails, he over filed 2 of the nails and didnt cut my nails short enough so i could still see them under the set, not only that but the colour didnt fully cover the nails on more than 3 of the nails. The over filing was corrected the next day and re painted much much better however i can still see my natural nails underneath and 2 fingers and my thumb that was over filed feel very tender as if my nails are digging into the skin.
Its a shame as the people are lovely and welcoming but I don't think I will get my nails done again after this experience.

I have been visiting this nail shop since I moved down this end of the city. Every time I have been hear the lady is always very friendly we spoke about plants her daughter my dating life as much as we could understand each other. I booked an appointment for a Tuesday at 11.50 as I had booked the day off. I arrived on time. As soon as I walked in the door before I even sat down her whole attitude changed towards, she was awful! I showed her a picture of what I wanted at the start of my nails and she said yes and everything I suggested like French nail tips but the tips glitter for Christmas she was like no we can’t do that, I suggested another thing she was like no.. in the end after she had taken my previous gel nails off and put the base coat on I asked her politely to take my base coat off and I will go somewhere else. Last year SHE suggested Christmas stickers etc for my nails etc this year she said no we don’t that anymore but very rude to me. No decent glitter colours or colours all the same. Doesn’t give you time to choose and gets impatient when you asked to see the colour first. I will not be returning hear and I have been coming hear for a year now. Next time you visit hear get the ear phones that translate I guarantee she will be speaking bad about you to her husband who sits next to her.

The lady is incredibly rude. After I asked her nicely to do the French tip thin. She barely has any stock. I’ve never been to a nail shop where they ONLY have acrylic powder ??? and barely any gel polish. She told me to leave the shop with unfinished nails and I did. Better than being charged £40 for an acrylic overlay on my natural nails and gel polish. The nails were TERRIBLE. I went and paid American nails by Lee across the road, who did an excellent job of redoing the polish with the colour I ACTUALLY wanted. BEWARE.
