Thank you for your feedback. As a long term client your support has genuinely many a lot, so it’s disappointing to hear you feel this way.

On the day in question, you arrived just over 30 minutes late to your appointment. We did get in contact with you and you mentioned you would be around 10 minutes late, to which we told you we may not have enough time for one of the services as we were fully booked for the day. However, as this unfortunately wasn’t the case, due to this delay, there was not enough time to carry out one of the services booked, which is why it was treated as a no-show and charged accordingly, in line with our booking policy. We keep our policy consistent for all clients, these terms are outlined on our website and agreed to at the time of booking, as well as included in appointment confirmations and reminders.

We did still proceed with the remaining service, however as we were working with a reduced timeframe, the appointment may have felt more rushed than usual. Normally, we allow extra time to ensure a relaxed experience, but on this occasion we had to begin treatment immediately to accommodate as much as possible.

Regarding your comments about the quality of the service, we take this very seriously. In all the years you have been visiting us we have not received any previous concerns or complaints about your treatments. We are therefore sorry to hear this feedback now, as it was never raised with us at the time, which would have allowed us the opportunity to address it immediately.
In terms of communication, we have not received any emails or calls raising these concerns following your appointment. We always encourage clients to reach out directly so we can resolve any issues promptly and fairly. Pricing is also clearly displayed during the booking process to ensure full transparency before confirming any service.

Hi Zoe, We're sorry to hear that you've been feeling unwell following your appointment, as client wellbeing is extremely important to us.

After your treatment, you contacted us the following day to mention that you had a headache. At the time, it appeared that you were asking whether this could be a normal reaction after a deep tissue massage, and our therapist discussed the usual aftercare advice with you over the phone.

We have not received any further emails or written complaints since then, so we were unaware that you felt dissatisfied with your experience.
We would also like to clarify that a consultation form was completed prior to the treatment, which is part of our standard process so our therapists can review health information and tailor the massage accordingly.

Deep tissue massage can sometimes lead to temporary symptoms such as headaches, light-headedness or fatigue. This can occur due to increased blood flow, stimulation of the lymphatic system and the release of muscle tension. These reactions are generally short-term, but we always encourage clients to contact us if they have any concerns so we can assist and provide further guidance.
We were also surprised to read your review, as when leaving your appointment you kindly complimented the therapist and mentioned that the pressure felt like a good balance of firm yet relaxing for a deep tissue massage.
