I am extremely disappointed. Normally the staff at this superdrug are lovely and helpful. However, this afternoon 6th of may i was thoroughly disapponted with the service. When going to check out i asked to use my student discount to which i showed my unidays account which needed to be updated however there was so service to updated inside the shop. When i asked to show my student Id card instead as i’m still currently a student which i have done before multiple times and as seen bellow on the superdrug website it says ‘any form of student Id’. I an extremely disappointed as it was a large sum of money as a student i count on my discount. Not only was that disappointing, the lady at the till came across extremely passive aggressive, this encounter has put me off the services.

What’s not to love about this store
It often has great deals and tends to stock more than other Superdrug stores I’ve visited. The staff at the tills—especially the two young men I often see—are always friendly and welcoming, which makes a big difference.
It would be nice to receive that same level of friendliness from staff at the entrance as well. Overall though, a fairly good store 🙂

As a whole, the staff at this store have always been great and the staff on tills today gave good customer service when I was paying for goods. However, my issue is with who I assume is the manager for the store, Jill. While I was stood in the queue with my sister, she (Jill) was in front of us stood next to a customer who was waiting in line to be served. When the customer walked forward, Jill turned to her and huffed and gestured as if she was next in the queue, the customer then said sorry and let her go first, to which she didn’t even say thank you. I understand if you only have a few minutes on your break, but there was genuinely no need in the exasperated body language and huffing and puffing she showed to this young girl just waiting in line to be served. After that, she then set out tasks for the employees to carry out, when she asked the staff to carry out these tasks they were all pretty busy behind their tills serving customers and may not have heard her to which she huffed again and said loudly “a simple YES Jill would have sufficed” and then stormed off. One of the girls behind the till looked a bit defeated by the rudeness shown by her. This is no way to treat customers and also speak to staff, she showed no professionalism whatsoever and seemed to only want to boss people about, including customers, its no wonder her staff didn’t respond to her.

General manager JILL was absolutely disgusting and should not be in a managerial role and a customer facing role!!!! Who I assume is the general manager

I had a very unpleasant experience at Superdrug Liverpool ONE, largely due to the behaviour of the manager, G.L.

When I arrived, G.L. appeared more interested in asserting authority than supporting customers or staff. Despite being on shift, she insisted on prioritising her own decisions in a way that felt unnecessary and unprofessional. What stood out most was how she spoke to her team — her tone was condescending and dismissive, as if she were speaking down to students rather than adult colleagues doing their jobs.

It created an uncomfortable atmosphere in the store and reflected very poorly on management. Staff deserve to be treated with respect, and customers shouldn’t have to witness that kind of behaviour. I expect much better from a company like Superdrug.

Things are cheap, but the staff who had blonde eyebrows at the till is very rude, after scan everything, didn't ask if I need a bag. And then just pointed at the card machine without saying anything. No thank you, no smile after I paid. If the staff have any issues themselves, please ask them to go home rather than standing there being rude to the customer.
