Bee using Shepshed nails every 3/4 weeks for over a year now after moving from another salon, and I love it.
I’ve had almost every member of staff at some point and the quality of service is always amazing.

Very welcoming salon, lovely staff and excellent work. I recommend it to everyone I know!

My children booked my wife a luxury pedicure for her birthday. She throughly enjoyed the experience but when she left the shop and rang me to collect her I said how come you have finished it was for an hour not 30 mins. My wife’s hates confrontation and said she just paid (her fault) as their were customers in the shop and she didn’t want to make a scene.
I went in and explained that we had paid 50 Pounds for an hour and not thirty minutes. Immediately I got yelled at and another customer decided to join in and said there are terms and conditions on the wall about if you leave the shop you can’t make a complaint. To note it was the first time my wife has been in the shop and she did not see any terms and conditions.
Like I said she did enjoy the experience but it is shocking when you try and raise a complaint the lash back I received when I was in my right to complain.
Let’s just said we are not telling the kids about it as a waste of 25 quid from the missing half hour.

I advise not using this business as they falsely advertise and con you.

Prices are inconsistent and not transparent. Removal is listed as £10 for acrylic only, however I was charged an additional removal fee when reapplying gel, despite there being no price stated anywhere for gel or shellac removal. On previous visits, I was also charged more despite having bare nail plates.

The service felt rushed and production-line rather than professional. The finished nails have uneven thickness, flooded and rough cuticle areas that were not properly prepped or sealed, and inconsistent shaping with some nails not symmetrical. The gloss finish hides flaws visually, but they are obvious to touch. My skin was left irritated and very dry, which is consistent with rushed removal and excessive acetone use.

The pricing structure itself is confusing and misleading. The booking system lists “Shellac gel” and “gel polish” as separate services without clearly explaining the difference, despite Shellac simply being a brand of gel polish with the same application and removal process. Removal pricing is only clearly stated for acrylic, leaving customers unable to understand or predict the final cost when booking gel services.

There is also a lack of transparency in the booking and consultation process. Technicians are listed only as “Staff 1”, “Staff 2”, or “Staff 3”, with no names or qualifications provided. No proper consultation is carried out, no contraindications are discussed, and no assessment of nail condition takes place. Clients are simply shown generic sample nails or colour tips without professional guidance.

Hygiene is also a concern, particularly regarding tools. There was no visible reassurance that tools were properly sanitised between clients, which raises questions about basic hygiene standards.

When I raised concerns, communication was poor and staff spoke in another language instead of clearly explaining the charges. Overall, this felt like a high-volume, money-focused salon — get people in, get them out, add extras, and move on. I will not be returning.

After searching for a good nail salon for a long time, I saw the amazing reviews here, I was very impressed and happy with the service. The atmosphere is nice, unlike others, it’s clean, the team are polite and do not rush you. I’m a perfectionist with my nails, the gentleman who did my mine was very nice, and asked me multiple times if I was happy and would change anything I wanted.

Lilly and her team are the best! Such a great salon and the best quality nails that last. Lovely atmosphere & perfect job everytime. Wouldn't go anywhere else now
