I went in for eyebrow threading and upper lip waxing, and the experience was extremely disappointing. My eyebrows are uneven, the left side has noticeably more hair removed than the right, making them look completely unbalanced.
On top of that, the wax used on my upper lip was excessively hot and caused a serious burn. The shop owner rushed me out without even allowing me to properly check in the mirror. It was only after I left that my husband noticed the burn, and when I looked myself, I was shocked and worried about what had happened to my face.
When I returned to the shop, they simply apologized and offered a free service next time. I did not ask for discounts or free services. I wanted accountability and professional care. Their response showed a lack of responsibility and concern.
Poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and unsafe service. I will never return and do not recommend this place to anyone.

My appointment at another salon cancelled last minute and I needed to get a wax. I called a lot of places in Saffron Walden but they were all booked out. I was so glad that they were able to take me in last minute. I had Lily and she was great to chat with. Will definitely be coming back again.

I have been coming here now for just over a year and I wouldn’t go anywhere else ! I’m greeted with a warm welcome and always made to feel comfortable. I have BIAB and the staff are amazing. I always come away happy and can’t wait to return , well done Lisa’s , keep doing you 🥰

I recently visited Lisa Nails for the second time, and I must say, I was very disappointed with my experience. First of all, the pricing for their services is far too high compared to the quality of work I received. It feels like they charge whatever they want, without any clear justification for the price.
What really bothered me, though, was witnessing their unprofessional behavior. I saw them offering discounts to customers and then asking them to leave negative reviews about a nails salon nearby them .It was uncomfortable to watch and left a bad impression on me.
Overall, I won't be returning to Lisa Nails. There are definitely better places with more professional service and fair pricing. I highly suggest looking elsewhere for your nail care needs

I’ve been a loyal customer of this nail salon for a long time, and I absolutely love it. The staff are fantastic—Lily did a brilliant job on my eyebrows, and another lovely colleague took great care of my hands. Lisa was wonderful too. Every treatment today was spot on, and it was such a nice touch to be offered a cold drink in this hot weather. I always feel so well looked after here—the whole team is exceptional at what they do. Thanks Team!!!

I’m not one to leave negative reviews but I’ve been coming here for five months and it’s so hit and miss whether or not you get a good nail tech - this time I got the worst gel manicure. It was so bad, the next day I went to a different salon in town to get them redone.

I had long nails when I went in so there was no reason for how they’ve been done - I asked for round (which they already were), and minimal length removed. The majority of the length was filed down, most are ‘squoval’ and they are not even filed properly they’re so uneven on the edges rather than smooth.

The gel on the nails is lumpy and bumpy; they use electric files to remove the gels rather than hand filing the previous gel off which I don’t like because it feels aggressive and it doesn’t take much longer to do it properly by hand. They never do anything to the cuticles.

There are nails where the gel doesn’t cover all of the nail bed and some where the gel overlaps my cuticle which has happened on almost all of the manicures I’ve gotten here.

On this occasion the nail tech had gotten gel on the back of my hand, and it had dried and she hadn’t realised so when I asked her to remove it before I left she started aggressively filing it off which obviously hurt.

I kept coming back because the gels do last three weeks and the staff are friendly but I’ll be trying a new salon from now on.
