I hunted for Folic Acid, which is a useful supplement, but it's primarily sold for pregnant ladies. I looked along the shelves for ages until I had to give up and ask for help. Surely it is still sold? The pharmacy assistant agreed but couldn't find it. Another helper came and at last she had it. On the very bottom shelf. Pushed right to the back and you had to bend right down and reach for it. Imagine a pregnant lady having to bend like that!

You need to learn how to answer your phones, as some people cant travel all the way to you to get told their prescriptions aint done... and it aint good enough, as people have bad anxiety going out as it is....

The most dreadful boots store in the country . The very rudest and most unprofessional of people working here with no idea what they’re talking about medically and total inconsistency . Be a good service to Halstead when this closes down and is replaced with something else. The other negative reviews are absolutely right it should be reviewed by boots and helped to improve no end it’s an embarrassment to the company. If you can use Superdrug online pharmacy, the service is so much better than suffering this place

I tried returning a SEALED! Bottle of vitamins to the Halstead branch today which I bought two days ago with my receipt. They said they wouldn't accept refund on vitamins because they class it as medicine. It was just a normal off the shelf bottle of vitamins which are a supplement and not a medicine!

Staff are rude and unhelpful if you want to ask if something is in stock. They tend to have a 3 for 2 offer on vitamins but there's only ever 2 of the product you want on the shelf. So I picked a different one up to make up the 3rd item but after looking at the ingredients decided I'd return it and try get 3 of the items I actually wanted.

I heard the dispenser in the back of the pharmacy say "well he can stand there all he wants, he's not getting a refund". They said I'd have to come back the next day to speak to the manager and even then might not get a refund.

It's a nuisance to park in the high street and the staff are rude. I'll only be shopping at a supermarket for these sorts of products from now on as they have better parking, better customer services and better returns policy. I'm offended they didn't even look to see if it was sealed. Just assumed that I had tampered with it.

I was so annoyed that I opened it in the shop, twisting the lid off and peeling off the seal, leaving it on the counter and walking out.

I'm never shopping with Boots if I can avoid it and 100% never shopping with the Halstead branch ever again!

The pharmacy staff especially the younger girls who is there quite regularly is very rude, I think she needs some training in customer service, I’m sure you are allowed to ask about medicines to the pharmacy team well clearly

So surprised at the negative reviews about staff who are obviously rushed off there feet and judging by some of the reviews,dealing with entitled people who seem to think they shouldn’t have to wait.well I love this store.wouldn’t go any other pharmacy.im in there multiple times a month for repeat prescriptions.the girls are all lovely and I’ve witnessed just how awful and awkward some people can be there’s no need for it.also instead of moaning about the queues sometimes.its easy just come back in a while like I do when the queue gone down.in 10years I’ve never had one bad experience in there,so basically you all need to stop moaning about a small amount of staff dealing with you lot every day sorry,your not the Queen or king. cheer up 😂😂

Went in this morning after a referall to see a pharmacist for 111 for my 1 year old prior to an out of hours appointment.
I was informed by 111 that a referral from the pharmacist would mean that she would receive a faster out of hours appointment.
The pharmacist said she would do the referral for the appointment.
Called 111 3 hours later to find out that no referral was put through via the pharmacist.
We are all busy but don't say you will do something concerning the health of a small child and then simply not do it!

A good Boots store and pharmacy in the heart of Halstead. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the store has a great selection of the usual Boots products and unlike some Boots stores actually has them in-stock most of the time. The pharmacy is top notch with quick service and a really good selection of other services such as smoking cessation and medication review. In all a great store the staff should be proud of.
