I have used LA nails for the best part of 20 years. Even when they were on Green lane.
If you get the guy, great.
But the older lady is rude and just rushed and does a really poor job.
The young girls attitude is rude and disgusting (she really thinks she’s something special!!)
Disappointing considering I have been visiting every 2-3 weeks for years (wasted loyalty).
The quality has been deteriorating fir a while now.
The final straw came when I got my nails done last Sunday and I had to get them fixed by another salon 5 days later.
It wouldn’t have been as bad if they were busy!
But I was the only one in there!
It was the 2 woman. And basically, they couldn’t be bothered.
Needless to say, I won’t be returning

Honestly unhappy I spent £40 on a set that’s just basic polish on short oval nails, don’t appreciate being RIPPED OFF. For the price I expect the quality to actually match the price. Wish I just went elsewhere. Try Cindy’s as they’re actually friendly in there or EM nails. Never had a problem with the older woman and man but the young girl comes across as rude and like she doesn’t even want to be there, no idea where she gets these prices from but won’t be going back to be ripped off again for a set that’s bulky, uneven and not up to standard.

One of the best nail experiences I had in derby. All the staff were lovely, they even offered tea which I was pleasantly surprised by. The quality of the nails is amazing. And lovely pricing. 10/10 would recommend!!

LA nails has been my go to now for the past few years, I regularly get my nails done every 3 -4 weeks. The staff here are very polite and friendly, the staff understand the style I like, and I always get compliments on my nails!

I would give 0 stars if i could.

I only went in because my usual nail place was fully booked and I needed a last-minute appointment. I asked if they did acrylics with NORMAL polish and the guy said YES. Not only did he supposedly use shellac, but he also did NOT inform me about this. I also asked for medium long nails but i guess the lady cut them all shorter when she realised she messed them up. I complained about this and the guy started gaslighting me into thinking that they were long enough and all the same length, which they were NOT.
I also wanted normal polish on my toes (without pedicure) which according to their prices online, they charge £10 for. However, once again, they used shellac without telling me and charged me £20 for polish alone💀. They charged me a total of £50 and there were so many imperfections on top of rushing through the whole process, regardless of me telling them it was for my graduation. I went back in after checking the prices online one more time to make sure and he told me they didn’t do normal polish after he initially told me they did. He then started arguing with me and said he’ll just give me £5 back, which he wouldn’t have done if he hadn’t realised he was wrong. Regardless, they still charged me extra and had a horrible attitude.

NEVER. AGAIN. This is your sign to never cheat on your nail people😭

Just to add to this in response to whoever controls the replies - I’m clearly not alone in my review you have multiple bad ones which I clearly should have checked before coming. I definitely won’t be making that mistake ever again!
How about instead of investing time in your hostile responses, you take them precious seconds in reevaluating putting quality in to the services you provide.

got these nails done on friday i loved them got the exact design i wanted the problem is that really annoys me is the bottom they look like prinark nails that i just stuck on in a minute thats my biggest problem but the prices are really good its just the bottom of the nails that are crumbly and look like £1 stick ons.

Very disappointed with there service. Rushed the Job. Nails fell off after 3 days. They all look like theve grown out even tho just had them done. Avoid don't waste ur money. They are very rude also.

I went to there for first time and they made me absolutely disappointing for what job they had done to my nails I asked the lady to blue and black and show her the picture but she did absolutely different nails for me I please people never go there for even first time absolutely disappointing They charge me 30 pound it is look like the fake nails on my hand I am so disappointing Very shame

I asked a lady to do the same as the picture and she did this to my hand lol

Not very happy with our designs me and my friend went in today there nice people don’t get me wrong but the nails are not good they don’t look like the picture on both of our nails and we both wanted square nails n they look like duck shape nails and the “soak off” was them just cutting down and using a plastic nail to remove that could of damaged the nail bed n that cost a tenner alone all they look cheap and flimsy for what they cost and feel like they could snap and break and are painful on my friends because she had a damaged nail bed and asked the lady what she could do to help and the lady just put nail glue straight into the whole it all together £85 pound for 2 sets and a soak off completely waste of money will not being coming back
