I attended Karen Francis on 12th Feb '26 for a facial & massage.
Having informed the beautician of my very sensitive skin, I spent 10 days with roaring red swollen skin which had been burning & sore eyes. Obviously whatever item that was used was inappropriate for my sensitive skin. I was taken into a room not suitable for facials as the beautician had to keep going in & out to obtain water from another room ... far from ideal & leaving me feeling very uncomfortable. I had been left in a mess & on phoning to speak to the owner of Karen Francis, she advised she was happy with the protocol followed out by the beautician & she had no reason as to why I was left in this state (she advised to take an allergy tablet but to no avail)..appalling!! The owners offer, because of what happened, was for me to collect a free cream left at the front desk. I was given a sample sachet of this the day of the facial and it irrated my skin even more. Surely under the circumstances, at the very least, the owner should have asked me to call in or send a photo so she could look at my skin & then offer at least, a refund.
The whole thing was very unsatisfactory, its not conducive to what a fully qualified beautician should do. Also putting me in a room far from appropriate for facials with no water available.  For any potential clients reading this, do take note of all I've alluded to as it was the worst experience I have ever had.
The owner was apathetic and showed a lack of concern especially not enquiring a few days after the incident to check if my skin had improved. Three weeks on, it is still not back to normal! Terrible customer service and experience all round.

We had a lovely visit today to have my daughter’s ears pierced for the first time. Ellie was great, she put my daughter at ease and explained everything she was doing. My daughter is delighted with her new earrings and the teddy and certificate was such a lovely touch. Thank you so much
