I was initially not going to leave a negative review, as my nails were not what I wanted nor similar to my inspiration. However, only a few days after my appointment, the polish began chipping at the tips, and one nail is significantly damaged.
My sister and I have visited this salon many times and, in the past, have had positive experiences. Unfortunately, there is one male technician in particular who does not seem to use the proper techniques. On the two occasions i have got him, he has ignored my request for stiletto nails and instead given me almond-shaped nails, even after I repeatedly asked him to make them sharper. Both times, he also made them much shorter than I requested.
This most recent visit, he painted my sister’s nails bright white instead of the milky white she showed him in her reference photo, and he attempted to do the same with mine. I mentioned that I was not completely satisfied with my nails, but nothing was done to address the issue. On a previous visit, when my sister was with him, he painted her nails lilac purple instead of the blue cat-eye design she requested.
While we have had some good results here before, this particular technician has consistently lowered the overall experience. In addition, the salon’s pricing can feel unclear and inconsistent and misleading. On multiple occasions, I have been encouraged to remove my nails for an additional £10 charge and get a new set, rather than simply having infills, because the nails were supposedly “too long underneath.”
Unfortunately, after this repeated disappointment, we will not be returning, and I would not recommend this.
