The stars aligned for me to get paired up with Jess on my visit to St. Austell. I am getting married in just a few weeks and am traveling, so was looking for the perfect hairstylist, as I was pretty clueless at what I needed. I walked in and she gave me a consult and then was able to get me in the next day for cut & color. I hadn’t had my hair colored in over a decade but wanted to do something for my upcoming wedding but keep it natural. She knew just what to do and knocked it out of the park. I love everything about my hair leaving there, I felt like a million bucks. I can’t thank Jess enough, she was a lifesaver! I wish I could take her with me as my personal hairstylist. If you have the chance to get in with her, don’t miss it! She’s the BEST!!

I was initially really pleased with this salon and the service … I’ve had a few ‘no shows’ at the salon and was asked to pay for the missed appointments which I did in full. Despite doing this I’ve been ‘struck off’ ( it’s been suggested that I don’t rebook). I suffer from depression and was recently bereaved, hence the latest cancellation.

Would 100% recommend this salon for curly hair! I got my hair cut by Stella, who was so lovely and helpful! I asked her for advice on how to look after curly hair and she gave me so many tips and product recommendations, I'm totally confident in taking proper care of my hair now! She also did a fantastic job with my haircut, it looks way better than it did before! I also accidentally booked the wrong type of appointment, which was more expensive, and she made sure to change it so that I wasn't overcharged for the wrong service. I am definitely going to be coming back here next time I need my hair done, thanks again guys!

This was my first time at Chy Blew and I will definitely be coming back thanks to Emma! She was so lovely, friendly and made me feel very comfortable. My usual hair dresser couldn’t fit me in at a time that I was available, so thank you so much for fitting me in before my holiday! See you in December!

Have been going to Rachel at Chyblew for over 4 years now.
I have never been loyal to a hairdresser, I have always just booked on impulse when my hair has done my head in.... until I found Rachel at Chyblew.
Yet again Rachel has done an amazing job and I have left feeling like a new woman and loving the results.
All the staff are lovely, very friendly and the atmosphere is amazing.
I can't recommend Chyblew enough.

Update as of Monday 5th August 2024 -
I'm disappointed with Chy Blew. I once gave them 5 stars but I've completely changed my mind due to their childishness, discrimination and rude behaviours..
The hairdresser I used to see was great at first, but never talked when I would ask for what I wanted. They didn't seem to acknowledge what I was asking and when she did speak it was at me and not to me.
The last time she cut my hair it was just a bit too short, I explained this to her and I said she did a great job but again it was just too short, I asked if she could keep the length...Anyway, it was cut how I wanted it.
I asked to rebook again, but the hairdresser was reluctant and even looked at me in a way that made me feel instantly uncomfortable.
So, the hairdresser said "it would be better to call and book". I said "okay cool". The whole interaction was awkward, do you even have customer service skills?
I left and waited outside. Then I overheard the hairdresser saying to a nail tech in the salon "yeah, she was really criticising my work from the last time I cut her hair".
First of all, no I never criticise anyone's work. Secondly, discussing with a colleague about a customer you just served is rude. Also, thirdly I have depression and anxiety, so hearing a hairdresser I just paid to cut my hair talking about me is really mentally assuring to me how rude people truly are. If I was criticising you, why didn't you say it to my face? Why spend the next hour actually cutting my hair?
Why is it when I would go into your hair salon did I hear how happy the hairdresser was rebooking someone else but just couldn't speak to me in any sort of way?
I will gladly be taking my money elsewhere because why would I ever spend anymore money in a place that makes me feel horrible. You Chy Blew have no clue about mental health disabilities and how to treat others.

I went here for the first time and I was not disappointed. I had a lot of dark grey regrowth with white grey temples and warm blonde ends. I want to grow out my grey hair but couldn't live with the patchy look. What Faye did was nothing short of a miracle. She managed to blend the hair perfectly and considering the work she put in I felt it was good value for money as she cut and re-styled it too. Not only that but she was so lovely to talk to and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend.

My appointment was cancelled by text! Wasn’t professional enough to call and explain. I have a small amount of dermatitis which the stylist didn’t notice!?? I advised the stylist - so actually if the consultation was done correctly then she would have seen a few tell tell signs, but as i have a mild case this was over looked, she did NOT advise me that she couldn’t do it, and booked me in anyway! So if in fact she was worried she should have spoken to you first before booking me in! I advised the stylist that I was only having bleach slices that do not touch my scalp! As I like a root. Iv had my hair done by many other salons and it has never been a problem, which I advised. I had a skin test, which tests for reaction right? Which was all fine! For the price of your services I would expect your stylists to have the confidence and experience to deal with many issues. After talking with other professional hairdressers I was advised to go to a more experienced stylist, as they clearly lack experience. My review is purely for the lack of professionalism and lack of experience, so basically my hair wasn’t easy money!!
