I wouldn’t give this place any stars.

I went in to have my acrylic nails removed and had a terrible experience. The technician put my hands in acetone that was far too hot — it was visibly boiling from the water underneath and burning my skin. I told him several times, but he ignored me and kept putting my hands back in.

There was also a clear language barrier, which made it difficult to communicate how much pain I was in.

He then used an electric file very roughly. I had to pull my hands away multiple times because it was so painful, but he continued and said my nail beds were thin ,which was not an issue before this appointment.

In the end, the pain was so bad that I had to leave before my nails were even fully removed. My nails are now extremely damaged and sore because of this experience.

I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Owner Response:

Hello we’re sorry to hear this. You came in for an acrylic soak off and it is necessary to soak your hands in acetone. For the acrylics to come off in a fast and easier way is to soak them with hot water underneath. I can assure you we do not use boiling hot water from the kettle as this would be to the point the acetone will be bubbling. Instead we use warm water from the sink. As for your natural nails sometimes you will feel heat spikes when filing off the acrylics because we need to file it all off as it is a soak off. With acrylics, biab if you get it done regularly your nails will be thin. It may not look so under the products until you have them removed.

Went for my nails doing a few days ago, not sure if it was due to them closing in 2 hours or if my experience is the usual but they were so rushed. My acrylic tips were glued on after a 30 minute wait (no proper prep work) and then I was left sitting there for another 30 minutes before anyone came back.
Nails done.. they look okay. Definitely not worth the money!
A few days down the line and the edges are lifting and cracking as it was applied poorly around the cuticle and sides.
Sadly these nails won't even last a full week, which for £40+ isn't great. When I've had acrylics before (by someone else) they lasted 4-6 weeks with no issues.
