I booked an appointment to have acrylics removed and paid a deposit to secure my booking. When I was contacted by someone from this salon before my appointment, I was informed that they wouldn't be able to do the removal because they weren't the ones who applied the nails in the first place. Fine, no problem. I asked for my deposit back and was ignored. I then asked if they'd be willing to remove the nails and put on a new set (thinking perhaps it was about cost effectiveness) and was told that they refuse to remove any nails done by any Asian salons because they claim that all Asian salons use illegal chemicals. I don't know whether this is true or not but it sounded like a pretty broad sweeping racial judgment to me. I said okay and asked again for my deposit back and was once again ignored. I still haven't received any response about my deposit. Granted, it was a small amount. However, it's my money and there was nothing on the booking website explaining their policy on nails done at Asian salons. I initially decided to book here just because I wanted to try a different salon, but their behaviour has completely put me off.

Just had my nails done here for the first time, and personally, I wouldn't recomment. The staff far too informal. When I walked in, no greeting or a smile, just a brisk:" have you got an appointment booked?". They have a good banter on a far too casual, for my liking, level, including swearing slipping in here and there, while clients around. Like a bunch of trainees at the end of a full year training, where they know each other a tad too much, and are slowly getting bored of doing the job and being stuck together in one place.
My consultant, very lovely, but also somewhat inexperienced. Little pride for the work, little constructive criticism from colleagues, and when the attention to detail was lacking, and I pointed it out- she was genuinely surprised, and unaware. She couldn't see the issue. I suppose, when in Rome...-not a place for growth or development nor seeing good customer care in practice.
The job got done, reasonably well (one thumb nail didnt get cut, and disnt get stuck, it seems, as has come off when I got home) - edges still not buffed to even, in places bits missed out on the white, in places uneven white at the edge, to me, not enough attention to detail.... tried to take a couple of pic to show what I mean. The nails should be smooth and perfect.
I don't think I will be coming back, as ,try as I might, the environment and the stuffy room, made me rather uncomfortable. There was also a distinct smell in the room, nothing to do with the nails, more like a mix of damp and diy amonium hair dye, that felt rather intrusive after a short while, and you're there for over 1h. I don't think the staf notice anymore. Just somewhat disappointing experience.

I recently visited Vanilla Beauty for teeth whitening, and it was a really disappointing experience. From the start, when i entered , the staff ignored me and kept chatting like I wasn’t even there. When a lady finally took me to a room, she started reading the instructions in front of me and clearly didn’t know what she was doing. Nobody informed me that she would be doing it for the first time or learning on me, which left me feeling confused and unsure. I also did not get any aftercare instructions or an explanation about avoiding colored food for 2 weeks; I had to find that out from a friend's experience. The only thing I received was a card informing me that I could buy toothpaste from the brand of the teeth whitening kit. After 45 minutes of whitening, my teeth weren’t even white! I was expecting a bigger change for £75. I wouldn’t recommend it based on my experience, and I definitely won’t be going back

Avoid at all costs .. rude staff!! Take your business elsewhere. There's plenty of salons in the area who offer the same treatments and the customer service would be tenfold.

Had my hair done by emilie today. Very professional, friendly, good to talk to and checked her work in detail to ensure she did a great job. I’m very happy with the service, definitely recommend ☺️
