Went in today for a full set of acrylics. I had been before and the set I had previously was lovely.

I was asked what shape and colour I wanted. I said almond. When asked what length I wanted I said “what’s the shortest you can do an almond shape to?”. I have historically always had my nails done and have been told before that almond must be kept a certain length to make sure they keep the shape. The technician said “what length do you want”. She cut them to a length and the matched them with the other hand. Once finished she asked if they were ok, I said “maybe a tad smaller please”. At this point, she snipped all of them down by about 2-3mm, didn’t make sure they all matched.

She then told me that the pattern is shown her would no longer fit (obviously, as 3mm was just taken off them). I asked for a sunflower I got offered a “daisy”. Bear in mind I was being charged extra for this specifically on my nail.

The vivid blue colour id chosen for the rest of my nails was no where near as vivid on my nails.

Putting aside the colour, and looking at the shape, they are genuinely awful. There is no apex in the shape - as photographed. In fact, they dip!!

£50 later and they look nothing like what I asked for. Won’t be going back. Shame as I really liked them when I last went and someone else did them for me.

EDIT: I called the shop to communicate how disappointed I am with my nails. I ended up speaking to the lady who served me. After several minutes of arguing, I was told that the time to have complained was before I left (re the shape and length). I pointed out that the complete lack of apex in the nail wouldn’t necessarily be evident at the time of the appointment - this wasn’t really addressed. Eventually they hung up on me - no justifiable reason for doing so, I wasn’t impolite I just wanted them to potentially offer a solution. Really disappointed.

Daylight robbery!
£45 for BIAB infill and did a good job, the lady who did my nails was very nice.
I then asked for a pedicure, but with no polish as I already had gels on my toes. This treatment was 15 minutes - I had my feet soaked, scrubbed and then moisturiser was massaged on. I went to pay and was told it totalled £85. I didn’t ask how much the pedicure (without gel) would be prior and I wish I had! Despite it saying £40 with normal polish on the price list (which is still expensive) which would have taken significantly longer than 15 minutes the lady stood firm that it was £40, so I paid. I can’t help but think that’s unreasonable, I have had gel pedicures at nearby salons for £40 which takes 45 minutes . So I paid £85 for BIAB infills and a 15 minute food soak and moisturise… I wont be returning.

Poor experience. Lady that served us didn’t take time and attention required when spending a lot of money. Rude as well. Felt like she was raising her voice. Nails are already breaking. Will not be coming back. Also is supposed to be relaxing experience but she was very abrupt and rushed our nails.

Booked an appointment for 2pm, clearly they operate on a first come first served basis, I waited for over 30 mins.

Not impressed, no cuticle work, or hand cream, the whole processed was very rushed.

In addition the nail tech, sniffed, snivelled and cleared his throat thought out the treatment.

Not the best £30 (cash only!!, really how archaic in this current climate) I've spent.

Nail technician upsold gel base as my nails are too thin. She rushed the whole set so they’re untidy, didn’t put enough layers on and they’ve chipped / creased after 2 days
