I previously had my BIAB done here by the manager and the result was perfect, which is why this experience was so disappointing.

I went in for an infill and specifically asked to keep exactly the same colour I already had on both my toenails and fingernails. From the beginning of the appointment, the technician was repeatedly hitting and cutting the skin around my nails with the e-file while removing the old BIAB. When I pointed it out, she said “yes, yes, yes” and then started cutting the damaged skin around my nails with the cuticle cutter.

Then when the colour was applied, I noticed visible gaps near the cuticle area, which completely defeats the point of going for an infill. I pointed it out and she seemed annoyed and started removing the colour again. I asked her if she had to redo the whole nail to fix it and she said “yes, yes, yes.” Then I asked the opposite question and again got “yes, yes, yes.” At that point it became obvious that there was a serious communication issue and I could not get a proper answer to simple questions about what was being done to my nails.

After that, the technician and the man sitting next to her started speaking to each other in another language while he kept staring at me, which made the whole situation extremely uncomfortable. I no longer felt comfortable raising concerns, so I paid and left.

Once outside, I could clearly see how uneven the nails were. The surfaces are wavy, the shaping is inconsistent, and despite specifically asking to keep the exact same colour, the colour used on my fingernails is visibly different from the original colour still on my toenails.

I contacted the salon politely afterwards, sent photos, explained that I had an important appointment the following day, and asked if I could come back before then to have the nails fixed. My messages were repeatedly seen and ignored.

Mistakes happen, but professionalism is shown in how a business handles them afterwards. Sadly, that part was even more disappointing than the nails themselves.

First time I ever got my nails done and they managed to fit me in on the day for a custom design and they did such a wonderful job. The staff are so nice and it eased my anxiety. Appointment took just under 2 hours and the staff were so attentive, I forgot to ask the lady's name who did mine but they all were really friendly, I will definitely be back! Now I just have to learn how to use long nails hahahah!
