That said, we did want to respond to clarify a few things. From our records, your visit was in 2022 and the stylist you saw is no longer with us. It’s also worth mentioning that you did speak with the manager at the time, and we still have the messages from that exchange. You weren’t spoken to rudely—in fact, you were invited back into the salon to discuss any concerns, though you never followed up on that offer.

From your own messages, you’d mentioned previously dyeing your hair red over a long period and wanting to transition to a copper tone, which can be a complex process. You were also given a discounted appointment and didn’t pay for the correction service, so the costs involved were significantly reduced.

Regarding your mention of a dog in the salon and cleanliness concerns, we want to clarify that no dog was present on the day of your appointment. We take hygiene very seriously, and this doesn’t reflect the experience we aim to provide—or the feedback we regularly receive.

While we understand that reviews are personal experiences, we do find it a bit surprising that this feedback was shared nearly three years after your visit, especially considering the staff and salon environment have changed since then.

Thank you for leaving us this review. The colour you are mentioning, was in fact a toner. You wanted to blend the greys roots, so we opted for a semi permanent root colour blended with your toner. You were made aware that this will wash out. You didnt want to pay for the full grey root coverage. We have requested better photos to show us your roots and welcomed you to come back so we can see in person and resolve this issue but you have ignored our last email. You were advised that it will only last so many washes and you wanted to blend in with the blonde hi lights you had done, which it does. We even have photos of this? This was all explained to you via email and in person at the appointment.

Regarding the dogs, they were locked out of the salon when you arrived. You weren't even in the same room as them. The only contact you had was via the window. We were extremely accommodating, as we are with all clients, and put them away. You didnt even enter, nor view the treatment room so you cannot comment on cleanliness. The whole salon is thoroughly cleaned & sanitised at the end of each day regardless of who is in the salon or not. The blanket offered to you was, as mentioned at the time, specifically for clients which comes from a high shelf, and are cleaned after every use. The dogs wouldn't even be able to reach these blankets or towels. There is also a dog bed so they do not apparently sleep all over towels etc which are then used for clients.
The salon was also at 22c that day, I asked if you wanted me to turn it up anymore. It was initially set at 20 but due to it being an old building, it started at 18 when you arrived as you were in early. You refused the clean blanket, which you saw me remove from the clean wash basket as I hadn't had chance to put away before you arrived, and you also said it's okay to the heating turned up. I'm not too sure what you would want me to do as you were also sat straight in front of the heated blower.

You were laughing and chatting, and seemed more than happy whilst with us that day and never mentioned anything except the root colour via email, which you stopped replying to? We have been more than accommodating and trying to resolved any issues but clearly there just isn't pleasing some people.

There was obviously a miscommunication. You booked the appointment within a week of the booking but hasnt stated you would like a Restyle done. You wanted to go shorter and change the style which i wasn't aware of. I also wasn't aware that the stylist in mention, wasnt fully confident with this style. She explained to me that she apologised and that she couldn't do this for you as she didn't want to mess it up. Had I been there to supervise or check, she would have been okay but as mentioned, I was away. In my opinion, she did the correct thing. I would much rather a client be upset that we couldn't do their hair, rather than an upset client with a hair cut that has been messed up.
We did have a conversation after I returned, and she did go on to do further training in this style. Personally, the only thing she should have done differently was offer you a complimentary wash & style to apologise.

We would appreciate it if you could remove this review. You visited us over a year before leaving this review. You haven't stepped a foot into the salon since 2022 and this is due to the fact we wouldn't rebook you after 4 last minute cancellations & 2 no shows.
