I’ve been coming to Top Nails for two years, and the past six months have been absolutely unacceptable. I’ve repeatedly been sent home with uncured builder gel, and when I returned to have it fixed, it was done grudgingly and with zero care. I’ve also left with cuts on my fingers — one of which was close to becoming infected.

I moved to Royal Spa because of this decline, but when they were busy I tried Hana Nails, not realising it’s run by the same people. The service was just as bad. My builder gel was left soft and bendy, and one nail was so weak it snapped off and tore my natural nail. They couldn’t even manage a simple snowflake design. My nails are all different lengths and different shapes, and some edges are actually sharp. They’re a complete mess, and my £27 has essentially been thrown away.

I don’t leave negative reviews lightly, but this is no longer just poor service — it’s unsafe. Uncured products can lead to serious allergic reactions, and the repeated cuts are completely unacceptable. The quality, hygiene, and professionalism have fallen to a shocking and frankly dangerous level.

It’s also extremely concerning that I watched staff refill a branded builder-gel bottle with a completely different, clearly cheaper product. Misleading customers about what is being used on their nails is a major safety and allergy risk.

P.S. These are my natural nails, and they’re now ruined.
