Google Nails were okay at first but very thick and ineven, I then started to get an infection. At time of booking I said it was probably a one time thing for my wedding but have just been cahrged for an appointment I didn't book, need, accept or even go to.

I'm disappointed to read your review, especially as I recall you were very pleased with your nails at the time of your appointment — so much so that you rebooked for an infill before leaving.
You received multiple messages reminding you of this appointment, including messages from me personally asking if you were on your way, and another informing you that it had unfortunately been marked as a no-show. You had several opportunities to contact me if this was an appointment you didn’t book, want, or intend to attend — yet no response was given.
Regarding the structure of your nails: the shape and length you chose (long, tapered square) require a supportive apex for strength and longevity. What you’ve referred to as “thick” is actually part of the correct and professional structure to ensure durability. I don’t compromise on quality, and I take pride in the standard of my work.
As for the charge you received, your appointment was booked during your initial visit. My policies, including those around no-shows are clearly stated and apply to all clients.
I’m happy to resolve issues when given the chance. It’s unfortunate you chose not to communicate before leaving this review, as it doesn’t reflect the full context of your experience.
Google Just had my nails done by Katy for a wedding I'm going to this weekend, and I absolutely love them!! This lady does exactly what it says on the tin 'perfected tips' 100%. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've had my nails done in other salons before, but Katy is a complete perfectionist. The only way to make your own mind up is to go and experience her service yourself. Highly recommended!!

Google Katy is one of the best nail techs I’ve ever been to. She does what ever I want, she is very talented , they always last even though I am a hairdresser and have my hands in water a lot! she is reasonably priced and I travel from Stoke just to have my nails done by her. I love going to treat myself every 3 weeks. Amazingly talented!
Google I had 2 sets of acrylic overlays, the first set was ok, the send visit was for my wedding nails, I paid for a full set yet the previous was not removed fully (I’d had green ombré previously ) so this could be seen underneath the white ombré I’d had for my wedding, they looked nice apart from being 3x thicker than they should have been, they hurt for 2 days after and kept me awake so I contacted for help and was told to leave them another day which I did not have as I was getting married, I ended up partly filing them down myself and had another nail tech redo them, she advised that the previous acrylic should have been removed if it was not an infil and that it was laziness. I reached out to Katy just to let her know that I wasn’t happy and she said she couldn’t have helped as she hadn’t seen them before I had them redone (she was closed and didn’t offer to help) she had taken pictures after they were done but oddly never put them on her Facebook page?? and then she blocked me! Not a professional way to deal with criticism and I have left a review on the Fresha app that she keeps removing because it’s not a good review. If I had seen any negative reviews I wouldn’t have booked with her. Not a good representation of the business. All I wanted was some compassion and an apology and I got neither.
Hi Helen, when you visited for your second set (your wedding nails) you had booked this for an infill, we did not have it down as a full removal (soak off) and redo, if you had wanted them fully removed and a new fresh set applied this should have been mentioned upon booking.
During the infill I removed all but a very thin layer of your previous set before proceeding to apply the new product in the style you had chosen. You were very happy once I had finished and loved them. 2 days later, you contacted me but to say " Hey hun, sorry to bother you so early on a Sunday, I’m going to have to soak my nails off as the are killing me and just wanted to know what’s the best way to do it diy xxxx this message does not mention anything else! I was not aware you had any further issues, I gave you the advice you requested but i also mentioned why they could been slightly painful. You then left it a whole week to contact me again to tell me you wasn't happy and as far as I knew you had soaked off the nails because they were hurting. I can not control how the nails feel once applied. You also decided to leave them longer than your used to this time, Which would have been a factor as to why you were experiencing some discomfort. I have enough experience and qualifications to know what I am talking about and do not compromise ANY treatments, nor am I lazy when it comes to any service, I can only deal with problems when they are brought to me and you left it over a week to bring any of your issues to my attention. I blocked you on facebook because the conversation was over. I can also say you have not left any review on fresha therefore I can not delete something that is not there! I did say sorry here is the message i replied to you with regarding your unhappiness..
" I’m sorry you weren’t happy with them but I can assure you I did not compromise anything especially when it comes to wedding nails. You were very happy when you left, and you made me aware they were hurting and asked for DIY removal tips, i gave you advise on this as asked. I could have changed anything if you had raised concerns before the end of the appointment unfortunately there’s literally nothing I can really do especially when you’ve had them redone elsewhere without me seeing or being aware with what you were unhappy with other than discomfort.
