I went in for a consultation. You know how that works. You're supposed to leave more confident than when you arrived. That's kind of the point.

They tell me the Hydrafacial is going to give an immediate glow. I look in the mirror later... I look exactly like me. So I'm thinking, was I not glowing before? Or am I always glowing and nobody told me?

The (laser hair removal) patch test happens after the facial...
That's like washing a car and then saying, let's test the dirt resistance.

I ask about pigmentation risk. Normal question. I ask again. Still no clear answer. Eventually I get a "let it fade".

Fade into what exactly? For how long? That's not information, that's optimism.

Then I'm told I'm an "over thinker" for asking safety questions. Right, because wanting to know what happens to your face after lasers is... unusual?

Anyway, I didn't feel confident. But I did feel like I was part of a very confusing experiment.

I have had a number of treatments at Calveo and I have been very happy with the results. The booking process is very easy and the reminders are very handy! The whole team are so friendly and knowledgable, putting you at ease before any treatment. I am currently half way through a course of LED light therapy and I'm already noticing a big improvement to the health of my skin.

I find Google reviews really helpful when choosing where to go. I also really appreciate transparency. I had a number of treatments at Calveo. The staff were always lovely & polite. The facial was great. However, I had laser therapy on thread veins around my nose. This set me back £500 & despite multiple appointments, they were still there & very noticeable. Having just had them successfully removed (at another setting in Rutland) in a half hour appointment for 10% of the cost, I would not recommend this laser therapy for thread veins. It’s such a lot of money to not receive the desired end result.
