Had biab removed the other day. They only used the electric file and didnt soak my nails. They have filed away my natural nails leaving them to be very red and painful to touch. My natural nails are ruined. Won’t be using this place again.

Edit: Thankyou for your reply. I am fully aware that biab won’t come off using just acetone.
Other places I have been to use acetone after filing down the top coat of biab to prevent so much damage to the nail with over filing.
Maybe you should be open to trying it sometime so that you don’t ruin other clients nails 👍🏼

I’ve been twice now. Lucy the first time and her partner the second. On the second occasion I went on a Saturday just before my holiday as a walk in. I had a long wait because it was a really busy time.
The owner explained it would be a while to get to me but I didn’t mind. I quite enjoyed watching and the time to have some rest.
The owner can be a little blunt and irritable but she’s heavily pregnant with her third child and works so hard to earn a living.
I had my first pedicure there too and her partner did this and my nails and all of it was perfection.
I’m going back this week. I can honestly say that I’ve never had such fantastic nails.
This couple works so hard and they are quick, impressively so. Where else can you just walk into a nail technicians salon in Plymstock and get this quality of service. So what if the owner can be a little blunt, she’s hormonal, overworked, managing a business, but with her amazing partner the best in the business and reasonably priced. Not cheap but worth every penny.

I find it shocking that some of the reviews remark on their ethnicity but remember there will be some cultural differences. These people are hardworking and contributing in our society unlike some British people.
I do prefer the owners partners outcome but both are fantastic. See you soon but if the baby comes before that, I just hope that you and baby boy have a safe delivery.
Photos are four weeks after having them done so due again but I think they still look great.

i’ve been coming to this salon for years and have never once left unimpressed. The owner Lucy and the rest of the staff are not only talented but lovely people. They also have walk in appointments constantly available which makes it ideal. Highly recommend! 🩵

I have been going to plymstock nails for 2 years now. I’m always very happy with my nails, Lucy is very quick, efficient and friendly and she always tries to explain things as best she can. Would recommend Xx

Just had my nails done, walked in and was no trouble at all. Stayed open later to finish my nails and my sisters.
Very friendly and welcoming will definitely go back to get my nails done.

Done my nails first time great work went back to my infill, my nails ware terrible not the same size not the same shape, I asked the owner and she agreed to fix it they ware rude! Start speaking they language and giving me dirty looks she was so rough sorting my nails I just says it’s fine!! Will not go back again the money you pay for being treated like that, no thank you !!!

I have been going to Plymstock nails for a few years. I’m cabin crew so often get my nails done when I’m away. The lady who owns/manages it has always done my nails well, except one time and I wasn’t happy with them and had to go back in for them to be filed/tidied up.

I went in just over a week ago, didn’t have a booking but waited for ‘Lucy’ to come out and asked if she could fit me in. She told me ‘2 minutes’ I said should I go and finish my coffee and then come back but she shouted ‘No 2 minutes’!’ So I sat down and someone else started my nails. I thought maybe he was just removing the polish as the lady I usually have was at the next table. But when he asked if I wanted my nails cut, I spoke to ‘Lucy’ ( I think that is her name) and asked if she would do my nails.,She then started shouting at me ‘I’m too busy, are you not listening to me’ I was so shocked at how she was speaking to me, and could see she was really angry so I suggested I should leave? And book to come back later? But she continued to shout at me, and so I said I felt she wanted me to leave?
I left having had the polish taken off my nails with the machine. Other ladies were sitting at the tables and looked really embarrassed. I have never been spoken to in this way when I was just trying to get my nails done. I felt so humiliated, but wish I’d spoken up. I left and felt so tearful. I realise this isn’t a third world problem but it was just shocking how she speaks to people.
I’ve read her responses to previous bad reviews so no doubt she will respond in her usual rude manner.
