I had a spa pedicure with gel polish on 6th May and unfortunately left disappointed. The lady who did my nails was lovely and apologetic, but the overall service felt rushed and not up to the standard I’d expect for £37.

There was still hard skin left on my feet, even after I specifically asked for extra attention in certain areas, and I ended up having to remove some myself at home. My toenails were unevenly shaped instead of the square shape I came in with, and the gel polish wasn’t applied properly across the full nail, leaving visible gaps and making it look like they’ll grow out quickly. The nail prep also felt rushed, with very little attention paid to cuticles or overall finish.

The professionalism also wasn’t great, before I’d even finished the service or put my socks and trainers back on, the area was already being sprayed and cleaned around me as if the appointment was over. Overall, every stage of the pedicure felt rushed, like the focus was on getting through the steps quickly rather than providing a proper, detailed treatment. It’s a shame because I booked the spa pedicure as a treat to get my feet summer-ready, but the quality sadly didn’t match the price.

I can confirm that I visited your salon on 6th May, and my review reflects my genuine personal experience during the appointment. I did raise concerns during the service about hard skin still being left on my feet and my toenails being unevenly shaped, despite me arriving with straight square nails from my previous pedicure at another salon. The nail technician herself was lovely, however there was a language barrier and she mainly responded by apologising.

Regarding hygiene, I also want to clarify that this does not reflect what I observed during my visit. When I arrived, another client was receiving a pedicure. After his treatment, the tools used on his feet appeared to be taken away only briefly for a couple of minutes before being given to the lady carrying out my pedicure. From what I personally observed, this did not appear to be a full professional sterilisation process between clients, which is why I felt uncomfortable and raised concerns about hygiene in my review.

By the time I noticed the gel polish had not been fully applied across the nail properly, I honestly felt tired from already trying to explain the other issues regarding the shaping and finish. At that point, I decided it was easier to simply pay, leave an honest review, and not return.

I booked the treatment expecting a relaxing experience, and I did not want any further stress or uncomfortable discussion in-store after already feeling disappointed with the service.

I have also included proof of payment for my service below to confirm that I attended the salon.

I appreciate your response and offer to discuss things further, however I will not be phoning as I am happy to simply not return to the salon in future.

Regarding your concerns about hygiene: please be assured that we use professional sterilizers for all our tools to ensure they are fully sanitized before every appointment. While the workstations can occasionally look a bit cluttered during a busy day, we maintain strict cleanliness standards for the equipment itself.
