I’m new to BIAB, but Sian made the whole process so easy. She is professional, highly knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything to a beginner like me. I get compliments on my nails everywhere I go! Highly recommend her services.
Thank you so much 🥰
I honestly have never been to a better nail technician than Sian. Nails always look fabulous , great choice of colours. They last too. Sian is friendly and welcoming. Very reliable, my appointment is always on time. Her new space is beautiful and relaxing.
Thank you so much! 🥰
Sian is my go to manicurist and has been for over 3 years. She is cleaner, tidier and quicker than anyone else I've been to previously and I’ve never had a single concern. Loads of recommendation to friends who also trust Sian, travel to see her and don't want to go elsewhere. 5 stars every time!
Always a pleasure 🫶🏼🥰
Honestly, just the best. I’ve been seeing Sian for years now and thats the way it shall stay! Her professionalism, her work, her passion are exceptional. Every step of the client journey is thought out from the ease of booking, to payment, to the appointment reminders, everything is just spot on! You’re amazing!

I had an extremely disappointing experience today and was not expecting this at all. I initially booked to have BIAB applied, but only ended up getting my hard gel removed (done by another nail tech). During the appointment, Sian advised me not to proceed with BIAB today due to the damage to my nails, which I completely understood and appreciated. However, what I did not expect, nor was I informed of at any point during my appointment, of the shocking price that I would be charged for removal alone.
At no point during my appointment was the cost of removal mentioned. It was only at the very end, once the service was completed, that I was told I had to pay £40, the same price as my original booking, despite receiving only a fraction of the service. I was completely taken aback and honestly felt blindsided. Had I known this beforehand, I would have never booked in the first place, especially considering that most high street and independent nail techs charge a maximum of £20 for removals.
As a first-time customer, this experience left a terrible impression. Instead of feeling valued, I felt exploited. It’s disappointing that rather than being upfront and accommodating, the approach seemed more focused on profit than customer care. As a result of this poor treatment, I have now cancelled both of my upcoming bookings with Sian next week, I refuse to support a business that lacks transparency and fairness for all.
If you’re considering getting your nails removed here, I strongly advise against it. Transparency and customer respect should be the bare minimum, and unfortunately, that was completely lacking here.
Hi Jessica,
I am very upset and disappointed that you felt the need to leave such a negative review. Nail health is the forefront of my business.
When booking the appointment, you booked for a BIAB Manicure, not a removal. When booking with me, the policy states, that should you cancel/change the booked treatment on the day, you will be charged the full treatment price which you have booked for.
You came to me with hard gels still on. The first thing you mentioned when you walked through the door was how you hadn’t had them removed and was apologetic, therefore knowing that this was something that I wouldn’t have been aware of. I said not to worry, we can infill them. When prepping the nails and inspecting further, two of the nails were very badly damaged due to poor previous work. The natural nails were split accross the nail bed leaving them red and causing you pain and discomfort. We agreed to remove them fully for you very carefully. This wasn’t something that you had planned as you wanted them done for a corporate event but what with the damage, I wasn’t happy to apply product as in my professional opinion, you shouldn’t.
I don’t usually work with file off gel due to length of time it takes to remove and I prefer, for nail health, to use soak off. However, I did this for you, having explained it would take the whole appointment time and that I would tidy the natural nail and cuticles so they look tidy and presentable for you. I advised you on the aftercare for your damaged nails and explained why I wouldn’t be happy to apply product to the damaged nails. This would cause further damage and risk of infection/allergic reaction to the product.
Throughout the treatment we chatted, I advised you how to look after the nails, you seemed very grateful for the care I was taking. You apologised on numerous occasions throughout the treatment.
I could have refused the appointment completely and still had to have charged you for the time you booked out as this was at no fault of my own. You did not inform me prior to your appointment that you needed removal therefore, I myself was blindsided and did the very best I could to accommodate you and your nails needs.
It took me the full hour to remove the nails due to the care that had to be taken not to cause any further damage. Usually a removal would take me 20-30mins. Yours took me an hour. In hindsight, I should have refused to treat you as this was not my work to fix and I do not work with file off hard gel. Due to my booking policy, which you would have read when booking the appointment, you would have still been liable to pay the full cost of the treatment you originally booked in for. It’s a shame that you couldn’t have called me and spoken to me in more depth regarding this and instead chose to write a review that can be detrimental to a business I have prided myself in and built up. I did what was professionally right for you as a client and any independent professional nail technician I hope, for the sake of the health of clients nails, would have done the same. I’m sorry you feel differently.
Such a fabulous BIAB manicure with Sian; I’m so happy I tried somewhere new! Honestly the best manicure I’ve had in years - great shape and cuticle work and the biab is flawless so super shiny ! Still in amazing condition after 1.5 weeks.Looking forward to booking in again! Thank you !
So so happy you’re pleased with them 🥰 still looking fresh!
Thank you so much for the lovely review.
After a not so great experience with high street nail salons, which left my nails in really bad condition and took months to get them healthy again, I was a little nervous about having my nails done for the first time since… however Sian was really welcoming, more than willing to explain anything that she was doing and I left feeling completely at ease, alongside great nails! Would 100% recommend.
Thank you 🥰 so glad you were happy!
Sian is fabulous, she very friendly yet professional and is more than willing to explain what she's doing and why.
I've been having BIAB nails every 3-5 weeks for the last 3months and they are the best. I'm a busy mum to young children and housework and even after 5 weeks they have never chipped or cracked or come apart. My nails are still in really good condition as well.
I've also had my eyebrows waxed from Sian and the temperature is lovely, not painful and the shape matches my face perfectly.
100% would recommend Sian and her services.
Thank you lovely 🥰
I have been visiting Sian for 4 years. I can highly recommend her, she is an excellent nail tech. Wouldn't go anywhere else
Thank you ☺️
Sian is the best nail technician I have ever used. I would never use anyone else, every treatment is always perfection. Highly recommend.
Thank you ♥️
I arrived 10 minutes late as the bus journey was delayed and although I messaged to notify you, I felt so unwelcomed when I arrived. When one runs a business, one must be prepared that customers also have their personal circumstances for being late and if I had been late more than 15 minutes, you would have been perfectly entitled to cancel the appointment. But it was not the case and I was charged the full price and did not have the BIAB gel overlays. I mentioned I felt unwell and you instantly presumed it was Covid. I made an effort to hold a decent conversation with you which you did not bother to do and I saved the appearances as I felt so uncomfortable to the point that I regret not having left straight away. Some of the nails have no gel applied on the edges and they have chipped.
Hi Fiona, could I ask why you were unhappy? I remember we couldn’t do the builder gel overlays as you were late to your appointment? But I did however accommodate and do a gel manicure for you with a rubber base. You left happy and apologised for being late and how you were towards me when you arrived. Your words were ‘sorry, you must have thought I’m a crazy woman’ I laughed and said ‘don’t be silly, don’t worry’ so I’m confused with the one star review as this can massively effect business. I accommodated as best I could in the time we had and remained polite throughout, please respond to clarify. Thanks, Sian
In response to your reply, I do have a policy in place where if you are 10mins late I can’t go ahead with the appointment if I am back to back as it delays the day for the rest of my clients. I didn’t turn you away but offered you an alternative, which I responded to your message informing me you were running late. You told me you were unwell and given today’s circumstances I did double check with you in what way. I feel I have to defend my business against your review as we clearly read the situation totally differently. I have never received less than a 5 star review so therefor I was shocked. I also felt awkward at the beginning of the appointment, this was because you were unhappy with what I could offer as an alternative but this was the only thing I could do for you in the time we had. Yes you were charged the same as you had booked, this was because you were late for the appointment therefor you were charged for the treatment time. This policy is in most salons so I do feel that I was as fair as possible. I am sorry you felt this way but you gave me the impression you were happy by the end and you were apologetic. I never want clients to be unhappy and am sorry that you were. Thank you, Sian.
I went to beauty by sian for a gel x treatment with French tip. After the treatment I contacted Sian because there was lots an excess product and air bubbles under my nails. She didn’t have time that week to redo them and I would be leaving the country, so we agreed on a refund.
She only paid half the money back without saying anything, when I asked for the rest of the money she couldn’t do it through the bank, so I would pick it up in cash. But when I wanted to set a date, she never again responded, she just kept ignoring me. Mistake can be made, but her attitude after was not friendly at all and not refunding when promised to a student is also not very customer friendly.
