Staff were pleasant and friendly. I paid £40 for an 11 year olds haircut, it was super disappointing. It’s lop sided, not level and un unsymmetrical, I will NOT be going there again! Not sure if they just did a rushed job because it was a child’s haircut but it’s super disappointing and at the end of the day I still paid £40! I am now going to have to pay for a 2nd cut to have my daughters hair redone by someone who actually takes a bit more care in cutting a child’s hair!

Happy with the colour and cut, but for £225 I expected a more luxurious and professional experience. As a hairdresser myself, the service details matter to me. I wasn’t offered a drink, left the salon with colour stains on my hairline, and instead of being taken back to my chair between stages, I remained at the basin the whole time whilst different sections were washed, which became quite uncomfortable on my neck. At times my hair was also handled quite roughly, particularly during the toner application. The final result looks lovely, but the overall experience didn’t reflect the premium pricing.

I booked a Guinot facial at Sheer Bliss expecting a luxury, relaxing experience. What I received was quite honestly the worst facial I have ever had.

If you are expecting calm, professionalism, and attention to detail, I would strongly advise you to reconsider.

From the outset, the experience felt rushed and uncomfortable. Before even asking about my skin, routine, or concerns, the therapist immediately tried to sell me products and told me what I “should” be using — completely unsolicited and inappropriate at that stage.

To make matters worse, there was no sense of professionalism or privacy when preparing for the treatment. I was simply told to undress down to my bra and get onto the bed — no offer of privacy, no therapist stepping out of the room, and no gown or covering provided. It felt abrupt and uncomfortable, and completely lacking in basic client care standards.

The treatment itself was anything but relaxing. The therapist handled my face harshly, not with the care and precision you would expect from a premium facial. Tools were banged around loudly, water was splashed, and products were squeezed directly onto my face from bottles — often uncomfortably cold — giving the impression she was trying to use up the last of them.

There was constant noise throughout: kicking the bed, clattering equipment, loudly washing and throwing tools back into place. At one point, even the cord of a device was dragged across my face while she tried to adjust it. It felt chaotic rather than controlled.

During the mask — typically the most relaxing part of any facial — there was no massage, no sense of care, just more noise and disruption. To make matters worse, the treatment bed itself had a mechanical vibration that felt like lying on a tractor. I had to ask for it to be switched off.

When I gave honest feedback afterwards that the experience did not feel luxurious and was far too rough, I was told, “this is how they do it in London.” That response alone says everything.

For £88 (discounted from over £100), this was not just disappointing — it was genuinely unpleasant. I left more stressed than when I arrived.

I chose this salon specifically because they offer Guinot treatments, having had an exceptional Guinot facial elsewhere. This was nowhere near that standard.

I am honestly baffled by the high ratings. Based on my experience, I would not return and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a quality facial.

*Update: I have since learned that they had cancelled their Guinot training session that they were supposed to do which explains a lot.

A wonderful massage experience! Ivana was welcoming and very thoughtful & took her time to personalise my treatment according to my needs. The eye mask was a very welcome addition too!
The bamboo massage was fabulous, it really got deep into knots and areas of tension. Ivana then did an amazing head massage that left me feeling so relaxed and revitalised.
A great massage if you feel you need to have tension ironed out of you! Ivana is a fantastic therapist. Thank you!
