During my first visit, I booked a removal and a full set on both my hands and feet with French tips. From the moment I arrived, I felt uncomfortable as staff members were repeatedly speaking in their own language while looking at me, which made me feel unwelcome and judged. The male staff member who carried out my treatment was also very rough throughout the appointment and appeared frustrated when I politely asked to look at different acrylic powder colours and make adjustments to the French tip design.

I returned for a second visit for an infill and unfortunately experienced similar treatment from the same staff member. Again, he was very rough while doing my nails. I also found his manner unprofessional, as instead of verbally asking for my other hand or finger, he would tap or pull at my hands to reposition them without speaking to me respectfully.

At the end of the appointment, I asked to pay by card. At this point, staff members began discussing the pricing amongst themselves in another language. I checked the displayed price list, which stated that infills with gel polish for acrylic hands and feet were £30 each, totalling £60. However, I was told my total was £75.

When I questioned this, I was informed that £10 had been added for gel polish on my toes, despite the price list clearly showing gel polish included in the £30 acrylic toe infill price. I was then told this price only applied to “normal polish,” which was not clearly stated. An additional £5 was charged for four broken nails, which I also found disappointing given that the nails had only lasted three weeks. At other nail salons, my nails typically last four to five weeks before any issues occur.

While transferring the payment, I needed to log into my mobile banking app due to having a new phone. During this time, a member of staff stood directly in front me rather than giving me privacy and continued speaking to colleagues in another language. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable and intimidated.

After leaving the salon, I contacted my mother because I was upset by the experience. She later phoned the salon to raise the concerns, only to be told that staff “did nothing wrong” and that I was “too sensitive.” I found this response dismissive, unprofessional, and disrespectful.

Despite leaving my first appointment feeling uncomfortable, I decided to give the salon a second chance as I wanted to acknowledge that staff may simply have been having a bad day. However, after returning for my second appointment, it became clear that this was not the case, as the unprofessional behaviour, rough treatment, and poor customer service from the same male staff member remained exactly the same.

Overall, I am extremely disappointed with both the customer service and professionalism shown during my visits. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable, dismissed, or unfairly charged when attending a salon.

The only place I have my nails done. I have a damaged toenail and had tried multiple nail bars, but no one does them like KV nails. Haven't gone anywhere else for years now!

I’ve been coming to KV nails for years, and generally I’ve had a decent time. Today I asked for a bit extra as its my hen do nails, different members of staff I’ve not seen before, kept coming over to look at my inspo picture and laugh, making comments in their language and it had me feeling so uncomfortable. It got to the point where I felt like I couldn’t even ask for the nail techs opinion because her tone was so rude, as it was getting near to them closing. She was rushing what she was doing and was just blunt. I literally left crying and will not be coming back.

My daughter previously had her nails done at a different salon, but they couldn’t do the design she wanted so we came to this salon and the lady did it without no hesitation. Very friendly staff! Well done! We will come back!

I had a generally good experience at this salon, but the payment situation was disappointing. They don’t take card payments, and because I had to pay by bank transfer, I was charged an unexpected £2 fee. It felt unfair, especially since I wasn’t told about it beforehand. When I called later to mention that this extra charge isn’t stated anywhere, I was told very unprofessionally that I “don’t have to come back.” I hope they improve transparency and customer service.

Fantastic experience here. The lady who did my nails (so sorry, didn't get your name!) was so quick, efficient and talented. It was the perfect service for a lunch break manicure. Highly recommend to anyone in Beckenham or surrounding areas!

I was very disappointed with the service I received at this salon. When I entered, the manager did not greet me and instead watched from the back of the store. When I asked about a specific nail color (DND), she responded that they didn’t carry it. I then asked if there was anything similar and was told to look through a bowl of shellac colors on the table.

When I requested her professional guidance, she dismissed me and repeated that I should check the bowl myself. The interaction felt cold and unhelpful, which made the experience very unpleasant.

As a long-time resident of the area, I was hoping to support the new management, but unfortunately, the service I received was unwelcoming and unprofessional. I will not be returning and would encourage others to consider this before booking here.

There are so many other nail salons around do not let the décor fool you. Please look into taking proper customer service training.
