I have been attending this business for a while now (around a couple of years), and I have a range of services from here. The staff are always friendly and always puts me at ease attending. I do not attend anywhere else. I always try to book with the same couple of people who work there as they make me feel as if we are friends having a chat. I have been to OTHER businesses where I was ignored, spoken over and/or treated poorly but definitely do not get that from Escape Beauty.

Owner Response:

Thank you Katerina for your lovely review. We are so happy you enjoy your visits to us. Hope to see you again soon!

Vouchers that only last 6 months and are now no longer available. No customer choice of day for treatment because there's only 2 staff members. Rude attitude and indifference to any kind of customer service. Cancelled my wife's booking as she doesn't feel comfortable going back. Seems like they're circling the drain.

The voucher was valid for only 6 months, I came in personally to ask if it could be honoured and after a while of hanging around it was. The belligerence I experienced was also experienced by my wife when she went in. I then called and got the same level of indifference when saying she didn't feel comfortable coming back. Add this to your response here and it's just a shame really. She had her bridal package with you and really liked it, along with other times her or others have been. As you note, that would have been pre 2023, its noticeable how much has changed since then.

Owner Response:

The voucher you are referring to was actually purchased in April 2023 so your point regarding only having 6 months to use it in this instance is not correct.
It is correct that we no longer sell vouchers, but we have honoured all in date vouchers in accordance with the terms and conditions they were sold with. We are a small business, so yes, some treatments we offer do only have limited staff that perform certain therapies. This was one of the reasons we stopped selling vouchers back in October last year. When your voucher should have been used we actually had more therapists and did have more availability, but as it was presented expired and in a different business climate there was limited choice for redemption. We were well within our rights to have just refused to accept it at all as it was 6 months past the original expiry date.

When the booking was made it was made clear a patch test booking was required for both of the treatments booked. The HD Brows treatment is not suitable for everyone, a lot of clients just do not have enough brow hair for this service, so we also judge this at the patch test appointment. No reservation was made for the patch testing but your wife turned up without appointment on a
busy Saturday when all the therapists were with other customers performing treatments. Staff will have been rushed squeezing a patch test and consultation in so in this instance customer service may well be affected, but as the date she turned up was also the latest possible date for performing the patch testing before the actual appointment was scheduled it had to be quickly done.
Unfortunately the HD Brow service wasn't suitable so an alternative was suggested and booked. The lash lift couldn't proceed as your wife had decided to have a lash tint a week ago and we cannot perform another chemical service so soon as it can damage the lashes. The lash lift includes a tint so there was no need to have one elsewhere so close to this booking , and has prevented that portion of the booking from going ahead. That is out of our hands.

It has been our choice to reduce the size of our business and stop the sale of vouchers as we now mainly deal with regular clients on block bookings. No circling of the drain, purely our choice which we are entitled to.

As we had given an opportunity to use this voucher more than 6 months past expiry I am not sure there can really be grounds for complaint.

In response to your added comment . All of our vouchers were sold with 6 months use. We have never hid this and it was always mentioned at point of sale. If that time frame did not suit then the sale did not have to be made. We have never forced the sale of a voucher on anyone.
The original 6 month expiry date of your voucher was October 2023. 2 months were added to this and the voucher was dated at December 2023. There was no contact prior to expiry asking for extension or explaining any circumstances that prevented the use of the voucher in that initial 8 month period. In fact it was not till March 2024 (5 months after the original expiry date and 3 months after the extended date) that any contact was made regarding use of the voucher.
It is common practice for businesses to not extend their vouchers. Large multimillion pound businesses say no, sorry , you haven't used it in the time frame. That is your fault. We, however, under pressure did offer a date for it to be used. Over 6 months after expiry.
On the day you called into the salon , I was in the middle of dealing with a customer. You waited a couple of minutes at most for me to make my excuses to her and leave her treatments. You left with an appointment thanking me for honouring it.
