The booking system did not work properly, which resulted in my first appointment being cancelled. My second appointment was then cancelled only two hours beforehand because I had not booked a patch test for the lash lift.

This was very frustrating for me, as I needed the treatment for an important event, and the late cancellation left me with too little time to find an alternative appointment elsewhere.

I completely understand that a patch test is necessary before carrying out the treatment, and I appreciate that this is done for professional and safety reasons. However, the booking system only states, “Do you require a patch test? If so, please message me to book,” which was not clear enough for me to understand that a patch test is required if you have never had a lash lift with them before.
I would recommend making this clearer during the booking process so that future clients are fully aware of this requirement in advance.

We’re really sorry to hear you found the experience frustrating, especially with an important event coming up.

We would like to clarify that patch tests are a strict requirement for all new clients booking treatments such as lash lifts. This is in place for safety and insurance purposes, and unfortunately cannot be carried out on the day of the appointment. While this is mentioned during the booking process, we do appreciate your feedback and will take this on board to make it even clearer for future clients.

In regard to your appointments, as a salon we have a number of self-employed professionals who manage their own bookings and client communication independently. However, we always aim to ensure a smooth experience within the salon and we’re sorry this wasn’t your experience on this occasion.
