Poor communication and did not bother contacting me. Had an appointment booked today and they told me they couldn't laser my face because they "couldn't reach me" despite all my contact information being provided and no formal voicemail was left or any attempt of informing me via email or text prior to the appointment. What a waste of time.

Disappointing Experience – Left Feeling Upset and Anxious

I was really looking forward to my visit to Gilded Dreams, but unfortunately, my experience left me very disappointed and upset. I had originally booked my appointment via Fresha, but due to a genuine oversight, I had accidentally double booked. I hadn’t realised this mistake, and unfortunately, no one from the salon contacted me ahead of my visit.

When I arrived, I was met by the manager, who was clearly angry and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Rather than approaching the situation with understanding, she told me that if I “wasn’t very good at IT,” I should have phoned the salon, and said that I’d wasted an appointment. Her tone was rude and dismissive, which really knocked my confidence and left me feeling anxious throughout the treatment.

Despite going ahead with the appointment, I wasn’t able to relax or enjoy it due to how I had been spoken to. To make matters worse, I was charged £55 instead of the £35 I was expecting, with no clear explanation provided.

Overall, this was a very upsetting experience. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend the salon based on how poorly I was treated. A little kindness and understanding would have gone a long way.

Lovely atmosphere. Staff all very friendly and keen to accommodate whatever I ask for. Have had numerous visits for various different beauty treatments over the last year, and have always been very happy with the results. I'm already a returning customer, but I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a beauticians.

Pampering is not just for the girls. Jen and her award winning staff offer a wide range of treatments for men and women. As a regular repeat customer I always look forward to my appointments and come out feeling on top of the world. You are guaranteed a warm welcome, a professional service and a friendly chat. I cannot recommend this salon too highly.

The girls are always fantastic. Today I’ve had a fabulous pedicure together with hot wax treatment on hands & feet - wow! So relaxing & skin feels so soft! Always a pleasure being pampered but more so in relaxed, welcoming surroundings. I don’t live in the area so not a regular client but Jen went out of her way to fit me in today opening up early for me - that’s service! Thank you!

I can’t recommend this salon enough! I’ve been coming here ever since I got my nails done for my wedding over 7 years ago! Tracey usually does my nails and they are always long lasting and fabulous! She gives the best advice for (everything) including nails, colours etc! All the girls that work there are amazing and are always happy to see you and say hello! If Tracey is ever on annual leave there is always someone there to take your appointment and always do an amazing job! 100% recommended and if you are new or unsure about staring a treatment or having your nails done then please pop in or ring them up because they are always happy to assist you with any questions or worries you may have! Thanks girls!
