I got my nails done here today. I walked in and didn’t have to wait long. They did a great job, and I absolutely love my nails. There’s also a coffee machine, so you can grab a coffee while you’re there, which is really convenient.
Absolutely terrible service. Michael is good at SNS but every time I have been I am kept waiting for over 30 MINUTES despite making an appointment every time. Will not be returning again - ridiculous!
I booked an appointment to get my nails done and I said to them over the phone that I need to be in and out quickly as I was flying out in the afternoon. However I turned up early for my appointment and I waited, which was fine as I was early then my appointment time past by 30mins and they kept saying they weren't going to be long however they were still doing a full set which they just started. So I just said I have to go as I was going to be late. Really disappointing. I would have gone somewhere else if I had known they wouldn't keep to their appointment time. They were not apologetic either just started talking in their language.
They just squeeze what they can in, no customer service at all.
I came here to have my gel removed and redone because my usual nail shop was closed. I’ve visited this salon before, and unfortunately, every time I come, my nails end up feeling very weak and thin.
On this occasion, the gel removal was done in a very rough and improper way. By the next day, my nails were already breaking, which is unusual for me as my natural nails are normally very strong. I didn’t feel comfortable going back to have them fixed because this hasn’t been my first negative experience here.
Overall, I’m really disappointed with the condition of my nails after visiting and would not recommend this salon.
Waste of money, the lady who did my nails was horrible and so rude, treated me so horribly.
I have been going to LD nails in potters bar for 4 years now along with my mum and I can honestly say that every single time we have gotten our nails done here they always look gorgeous with amazing attention to detail.
EVERY STAFF MEMBER that works in there are always so lovely and welcoming and they always do the absolute most to make sure that we leave with nail designs that we love.
I quite often have Lee, Tia or Micheal do my nails and their ability with nail art has always been second to none. And they always help me if I can’t decide on what to get and come up with brilliant designs that I am always happy with.
Their pricing is also so reasonable too. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would no wonder it is always busy.
I went there to get my graduation nails, all excited for my big day. I can’t complain about the nail quality kind of, however, the staff makes you feel like they are doing you a favor by doing their job. I’m scared for my life to say something. When I was getting my nails done and and saw one was wonky - and that’s where all the rudeness started, ignoring my existence, acting like I just insulted his profession, and this happened EVERY single time. If you wanna get your nails done, do as they told, don’t change your mind, don’t tell them you don’t like something otherwise they’re gonna rush through it and do them carelessly, and act completely moody with you, and you’re gonna walk out of there with your mood ruined, and bare in mind I have been going there for 8 years every times hoping they would treat me better because I’m a regular. Very disappointed, and after many many years, I will not be going back
i just wanna preface this by saying this is the first review i’m ever leaving on this account, i don’t leave reviews but i had to say something to warn people about this place. DO NOT GO HERE. if you’re local to potters bar and need your nails done i’d recommend taking an extra 5-10 minutes to walk to one of the many other salons here, id recommend them all over this place.
the man doing my nails was very rude and had a horrible attitude throughout. he was so sassy at me for not relaxing my hands even though i WAS relaxed, then he’d get pissy with me for not straightening my hands or moving them in specific ways even though a second ago he wanted them relaxed. i thought i was going crazy until i overheard another lady next to me getting her nails done say
“oh sorry my hands do what they want” and the nail tech laughed and said
“that’s okay i’ll just move your fingers!”
that’s when i realised the person doing my nails just had a supreme attitude for no reason. i’ve had my nails done multiple times before and my hands were never an issue but this time they were apparently so bad it warranted an hour worth of huffing and puffing and sighing.
they also didn’t listen to what i wanted and tried to argue with me when i wanted to make minor changes to the design (that they completely butchered btw i was trying to save my nails). they’re my nails and im the one paying £50 for the service but when i want to change a colour that they didn’t cure yet it’s now a big issue?
they’re also incredibly impatient and passive aggressive here. if you take longer than 30 seconds to pick a colour or charm they start to get incredibly rude. they all seem to get annoyed very easily, i asked one lady at the very beginning of the service for coffin nails (which i said i wanted when i sat down) and she misinterpreted it as square nails, she stuck one extension on and i confirmed with her that i wanted coffin and oh my goodness, with the way she reacted you would've thought i had asked her to redo my entire set just as she had finished everything. ridiculous.
this nail salon is close to my house but i’d gladly walk further or get a bus to somewhere else just to avoid this place. if you’re not used to customer interaction then don’t run a nail salon. safe to say they’ve lost a customer! no wonder why the place is always empty.
It was my first visit, but I was very happy with the lady who she was looking after my feet and the rest of it.
Michael is very good, the ladies that do my pedicures are good. However one man in there is rude a lot of the time, constantly grips your fingers too firmly, and the results are poor and inconsistent. I won’t be returning as I’m now moving away, however if I did I would only ever ask for Michael.
I have attached pictures below, I was mortified I had to ask for them to be re done (I know I changed the colour) but the first is what one other man did which appeared thick, blobby, badly shaped, incredibly unfeminine and rushed. The second were by Michael who took his time to file them properly all over, shape, pluck out edges etc. I was annoyed the first man was willing to let me pay £35 for that result. Unbelievable.
Only ask for Michael for your nails !

Please check the price list , they overcharged my daughter!
We will report and complain about them
