I’ve been coming to Hoddesdon Nail Bar since it opened and wouldn’t go anywhere else! They all work so hard and nothing is too big of an ask. The ladies will always make an effort to make conversation despite how busy they are.

Paid for a full set. 2 broke the very next day. Went back in they didn’t even care. Very rude. Reported to HMRC as they’re taking CASH under the table payments and not declaring all income. Maybe they should be nicer to customers.

Paid £45 for biab with French tips which looked lovely. After 2 days, 3 nails were peeling and one had chipped off. I went in to get it fixed and was told it was a 3 hour wait. I went in 2 days later and got told to come back in 2 hours. She told me she would not book me in as it was just one nail. She also said that Tuesday opening hours started at 10am, even though the previous week it was 9.30am. After paying so much money you would have thought they would accommodate 5 mins to fix one nail, especially since they won’t book me in. Poor customer service and quality of product

Ugh, I've been here twice now, and both times the gel polish started peeling after like, a day. They can do a basic job, but I've had issues every time I've gone because my usual place was booked. Last time, my nails were uneven, and this time they were way too thick. The owner gets super defensive when I told her I need them redone because the polish is coming off and they're too thick. Honestly, she's pretty rude. The other lady repainted them, but it started peeling again the next day, even with a different color. I'm not going back, it's just not worth the disappointment.

My husband took my daughter for her prom nails and to get her feet painted. Showed them what she wanted the price was 78 pound for gel acrylics and the tonsils just painted. Two of the nails are on straight they have cut three of her fingers with the nail file toe nail cuticles wernt even pushed back to paint so they look uneven taken advantage of a young girl with no knowledge being with her dad who doesn’t know better absolutely disgusting

Environmental Health : SHOULD GO THERE FOR W CONTROL!

Absolutely unhygienic – avoid this place!
I strongly advise against going here. The tools are used from one client to the next without any proper sanitization, which is extremely unsafe and puts you at serious risk of infection. They don’t clean your cuticles properly and handle everything in a very careless way. I even got cut during the treatment! Cleanliness should be a basic standard, and sadly, this place doesn’t meet it at all.
Also, I seriously doubt the photos they use for advertising are real – what you see online is definitely not what you get. Stay away if you care about your health and your nails.

It was my first time there and I asked for a BIAB infill. I know exactly how it is applied - I have had it done for months. Unfortunately I didn’t get that. BIAB is applied as thick gel that is later spread across the nail with a small brush. All I got there was a quick coat of some kind of transparent liquid. Also, my nails were not filed at all nor my cuticles were removed. I was charged a standard price for something that wasn’t done. A few days later two of my nails already snapped because they’re obviously not coated in BIAB. I didn’t bother saying anything because I’m not going to argue over this, but safe to say I will not be coming back.

Have been coming to The Nail Bar for several months, originally for gel nail extensions and now BIAB nails as for the first time in over 30 years I have managed to grow my nails with their support and advice. The staff are always very polite and helpful & provide excellent service. Have tried all the other nail salons in Hoddesdon and would not go back to them. Can highly recommend Mimi and her team
