Hampshire Court Spa - Terrible Experience

This was by far the worst spa and wellness experience I have ever had. I had prearranged a massage weeks in advance, but when I arrived, the problems began immediately. At the gym front desk, I was handed towels and a robe, but before I could even step inside, a jumped-up manager came out and humiliated me in front of everyone. She told me that because I wasn’t staying at the hotel, I wasn’t allowed to use any of the facilities. She then insisted I had to return the robe. She even tried to take the towel off me! It was a completely humiliating and unnecessary scene.

Feeling embarrassed and unwelcome, I decided not to go ahead with the treatment. I still don’t understand why a paying customer was treated so poorly. As a professional visiting the area for work with a large company based in Basingstoke, I simply didn’t have time to argue, cancel, or get a refund for my future hotel stay.

Hoping it was a one-off, I (foolishly) gave them a second chance a few weeks later while staying at the hotel and booked a hot stone massage for £114. I was told to arrive 15 minutes early — only to sit alone in a room wondering if any staff were even working. As I waited, I saw other guests wandering around in robes, but I was still in my sweaty gym kit. After the massage, covered in oil, I had to put my same sweaty, wet clothes back on — no robe, no proper facilities, no care.

I cannot believe I paid £114 for this 'wellness' experience — I've had better for a fraction of the price. The whole thing was absolutely appalling. Avoid.

I am a member at the gym here. Really good facilities. Changing rooms have been recently updated. Gym is great and not overly busy. Sauna and pool are nice but the stram room is a tad grubby. Not had any treatments here so can't comment

This is a spa with great potential. Walking to the adult pool from the men's changing room, you have to go through a cloud of unpleasant drainage odor. Unfortunately the poolside showers, and adult pool area is ALWAYS murky and the shower tiles are in a desperate state of disrepair almost falling off the wall. There is always standing water with floating bits at the poolside.

Restaurant was disappointing, the tables were all water damaged, no table cloths to even try to hide it. The menu was restricted to only 2 choices. The staff were poorly trained by the management. The bar staff did not know how to operate the Guiness surger. They tried to serve it in a peroni tall glass, I can go on but I will say the rooms were clean, comfortable and pleasant.
I would not stay at this particular venue again to be honest.

I came to stay with family and had such a lovely stay. The hotel is so clean. I met up with Abbey in the spa and ended up becoming a member, pools were new and so clean, can't wait to bring the baby for the classes included with my new membership , would highly rate the team such a wonderful experience will definitely enjoy our next visit!

I used to come here alot hadn't been for a while and my god it looks better they must of had some funding to refurbish looks far better. Really good price and easy to get to when you know how.
Only criticism is you waiting around a while before being seen at the spa reception.

This doesn't put me off I will be back!.

Booked for daughter and son in law. Very nice on phone when paying and confirming.
Was a spa weekend. But when got there had not booked the treatment. So could not have what they booked. Then when went to dinner booking slot. Was nit booked in. Very disappointing as wanted it to be a perfect de stress weekend for them.
Also when went into bar lunch staff lacked in customer service skills Very matter of fact. No enthusiasm or motivation. So the gift of spa weekend was totally spoilt.
