I got my nails done last Saturday. I thought I would visit this nail shop for the second time local to area. I booked in for full acrylic set and gel paint as well as a pedicure and gel toes and two acrylic big toes. I was so disappointed with the pedicure, No dry skin was removed no cuticles it was absolutely awful to the point the guy was actually hurting me, no idea what he was doing. I asked for two acrylic big toes for a little bit of extension and he had filed them too short. So I asked if he could fix the extension as a whole point of having a nail extension is for the length. However, as I was trying to relax replying to emails on my phone I didn’t realise that he had stuck a nail extension on top of another extension he just done. I didn’t notice this until leaving the shops as I put my shoes back on. I was just really disappointed with the shape and the style. I only when I got home after walking and being in agony with a throbbing pain I realised there was two nails stuck and I have been in pain ever since. I was really disappointed in a full set of acrylic nails. My desired nail shape was not listened to and Filed down too short, I asked for my Nails to be corrected, but apparently they’re back to back with bookings and the owner was on holiday so I needed to book in for next weekend, which I think is absolutely disgusting. I will not be returning! Awful Nail Shop, The motto is take money, quick bodged job, no duty of care or listen to what the customer wants and -£80 down!

I made a same-day appointment at Glamour Nails after hearing a few positive reviews from friends. I left very disappointed with the service and its price.
Two different technicians worked on my nails, and I had to repeat and show what I wanted multiple times. The manicure itself was practically nonexistent — no cuticle work, no cleaning around the nail, nothing to make them look fresh or neat. The space and instruments were messy. The technician went straight into gel removal and rushed through every single layer as if he was training for nail Olympics. He even used his own nail to dig under mine to reach the sides, yet still failed to do a clean job.

The gel application was uneven and left all over my fingers. I had to point out each individual nail to get excess product removed. When I asked to fix the uncoated sides with more gel (cat-eye), the magnet wasn’t used again, leaving the final layer visibly different from the rest. The only positive was the design itself — the snowflakes and French tips were nicely done. To top it off, I was asked to pose for photos for an uncomfortably long time.

I’m not confrontational, and I was ready to accept a significantly lower standard of service — expecting that the price would reflect that. Instead, I was charged £58. £58 for rushed, messy work that required constant pointing out and corrections. And still wasn’t done to a quality standard.

This is the same (and even more) than I pay in London for meticulous, professional work. Charging London-level prices for this quality, in the middle of nowhere in Essex, is outraging.

Been here a few times now. The owners are lovely and friendly.
However, I have had the girl in there do my Biab 4 times. Every time she has been rude and unfriendly. I have tried to be nice but she is just rude every time. She pulls your arm about and acts like you’re an inconvenience. Really makes you feel awkward. Today was the last straw. I picked a colour from the book. She did one nail and I said oh can I just check the colour as I had bought something to match it to. She had a fit and ended up stomping off and a gentleman ended up taking over. I did change the colour and wondered if she would rather have done the whole lot before I said something. Really horrible experience and felt so uncomfortable. I don’t understand why, I am never rude or picky. I would rather walk out with nails I hated than say anything and I always tip.
So I am not going to go back here again. It’s a shame as I do like to support local businesses.

My first visit to this salon and had acrylic overlay with gel french. Another client said once you get your nails done here you won’t go anywhere else - she was spot on! Usually my nails chip / lift but still in great condition and it’s been 2 weeks! Excellent results and recommend this place 🙂x

Ok , the shape was nice. Colours of acrylic for me were a bit limited. No offer of a cup of tea like I get elsewhere, no happy talkative atmosphere between staff and clients, were going to send me away with large amounts of red acrylic around the skin by my nails, wiped the uv Polish from the ends of the nails instead of capping, didn’t clean under my nails and despite doing absolutely nothing except being taken out to dinner since I had them done, two have broken at the sides, I’ve cooked nothing, cleaned nothing, I’ve not used them as tools they just need to be a little thicker at the end. I may come back and see if they can do better or I may just go elsewhere.

I liked it very much , my nails look amazing the only issue was that one of the workers accidentally dropped the drill onto my hand but quickly removed it . Overall I like them very much
