My girlfriend went in for a Hollywood wax and the service was completely unprofessional.

The beautician, Beverly, did not wear gloves and used poor waxing technique, repeatedly pulling over the same areas and leaving many hairs still behind. The wax was also far too hot, causing unnecessary discomfort.

On top of that, the attitude was unacceptable. When my girlfriend explained she had grown her hair out specifically for the wax, Beverly gave her a disgusted look and said “eww” under her breath, which was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Any qualified beautician should expect and understand this — it’s part of the job.

Overall, the service was rushed, careless, and disrespectful. Hygiene standards, technique, and basic customer care were seriously lacking. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Hi Beverly I wish I could say I was lying but unfortunately I am not. May girlfriend and I have no reason to lie about this. I hope you take this as a lesson and improve upon yourself and reflect on your actions. FYI wear gloves next time it’s basic hygiene.

I booked a wax and had a very poor experience. The service was unprofessional, with no gloves worn and improper waxing techniques used. The wax was too hot and repeatedly applied to the same areas, causing unnecessary pain.
My concerns were dismissed which made an already uncomfortable situation worse. Despite paying for a Hollywood wax, the job was not completed properly, with a lot of hair left and wax residue remaining. My skin was left sore, red, and damaged afterward.
I left feeling upset and concerned and would not return or recommend this salon.

I have been going to see Beverley for years to have my eyebrows done and she is amazing at her job! So friendly and welcoming and always top class results i wouldn't let anyone else touch them! Since the pandemic started shes also been well protected at all times and ensuring the salon remains cleaned and sanitised. Could not recommend this lady more!

I’ve been coming to Capital Beauty for over 6 years now for my nails which always look fantastic at the end of my treatment. Great care is taken with my natural nails and they are now always in excellent condition. Such a friendly and excellent service, wouldn’t go anywhere else.
