I wish I had come to read reviews and not just looked at pictures on Spaseeker. We went on a Tuesday for my husband's 40th. Memorable, but sadly for being bad. To be fair, our massages were both lovely (hence the one star). But the setup and facilities are just really quite grim.
The changing room is awful, everything is wet, the walls and ceiling dripping with condensation, mouldy spots etc. I didn't want to put my belongings down or touch anything.
It was also advertised as being a spa day until 5pm. Unfortunately, they have children's swimming lessons from 3pm. So there was no room in the pool from then, and if you chose to sit in the jacuzzi instead, you had an audience of parents staring at you and noise from young children. So weird.
The relaxation room was fine.
We upgraded to afternoon tea for our lunch. Don't do that. The cakes were not fresh as they were freezing cold, and looked like they were from a packet. Same for the sandwiches, freezing cold and not fresh. We didn't get offered tea, and there were no staff around to ask for it, so we just wandered off after a while.
My husband said the gym was fine.
Came away feeling a bit dejected and bewildered!

The pure luxury of a soak on the spa or, even better, a sauna session, first thing in on a cold winters morning... Wonderful...

My friend and I went to a spa day with a treatment. The steam room/sauna are okay but it was very crowded with children in the morning and adults in the afternoon. The waiting staff at lunch seemed like they didn't want to be there and the deep tissuemassage was not good! Pressure in the wrong places and so much oil I felt cold during the massage. Wouldn't recommend.

Very quiet and relaxing stay , staff were friendly plenty of parking , electric charging facilities at a very fair price . Breakfast was good plenty of choice .

Nice hotel with pool and spa..
However, the pool area is too small for the numbers that can use it and the spa is not a spa experience at all.. cleverly marketed as a spa day option, but its defo not that good, my family and i tried this place for a spa day based on the advertising, we were all disappointed, small overcrowed jacuzzi and basic spa treatments, a few sunbeds and a few chairs around the pool, but again not enough to cater for the numbers, small and not very nice changing rooms, a bit grubby, add up to a facility that is too small for the hotel capacity and then add on day visitors and we didnt enjoy it at all, we didnt feel catered for or that the place was çlean and maintained, give it a go, you'll see what i mean😊... been to better.
