Highly recommend. I’ve gotten a few pedicures here now over the last 6 months. Friendly, professional service and the gel polish has lasted me about 8 weeks each time. Always managed to get seen without a booking with a minimal wait.

I had builder gel applied to my nails on 4 different occasions at The Gatehouse. I was pleased with all applications, although they did seem thicker than other builder gel nails friends have had, and decided to have a little break so had them removed.
After the removal, my nail beds were very sore and my nails were bendy, I was told at the time this is a sign of a healthy nail!

It has now been a month and I am still suffering. Despite keeping my nails short, they tear constantly, often ripping into the nail bed, and are very bendy. Before having builder gel my nails were strong and grew well, I knew they would weaken slightly but I didn't think it would be this much after only 4 treatments. This has now put me off having any nail treatments in the future.

The owner was polite enough, however the service given here for acrylics wasn’t up to standard. The nails were thick and uneven, I had French tips, the paint job was awful wasn’t what I wanted. The owner had a trainee who didn’t know what she was doing filing my nails for at least 30-45 mins (square shape). What should’ve taken 30mins took 2 hours, I had a back ache by the time I left. The cleanliness of the shop was disgusting, there was cobwebs and dirt all over the floor, clutter. All the nail varnishes and nail equipment was dirty. I had to go back to my usual nail shop (which was very busy at the time, hence why going here.) Just to have them fixed. There was no place to wash your hands before, after or in between. No cleansing equipment for tools. Which proves house unsanitary there equipment must be. STAY AWAY! If you want professional looking nails it isn’t the place to go. I was charged £36.00 for a half job.
